I've just sat here working diligently on getting my password changed because I forgot mine. It all began clear back in March when my laptop broke and I had to use my old laptop, only to find that I had forgotten there's a pin number to get into the old one. Then finally my daughter dug up a Chromebook I can use as a guest. Then I came here and found I had forgotten THIS password too. And then, in trying to retrieve my password for here, I found that I had to go through so many validation things that didn't validate me that I was about to chuck the whole idea of getting back into the forum. My new passwords were deemed too weak, when I tried more that were strong then it became "passwords don't match" for several times. If I hadn't accidentally hit on two that matched I would have been a long gone goose, believe me. Nothing is worth so much aggravation. Anyway, I'm sorry I haven't been here for a few months. I'll try to catch up now.

Hi guys! 🙂 Week 3 with my Orions Tarot The reading this morning: Card 1 – Left side = feelings I have: Card 2 – the Right side = the facts I am facing: Card 3 – The Middle Ground = What can I do: Our last year on the Market? Card 1 – left side = feelings I have: The Moon: sensing emotions - Ilusions and or intuition? And the Moon Hare: Hares are by nature rather cautious and easily frightened Animals. Normally I am not like that at all, rather more often the oposite. This one is white, to me the colour of innocence and a pure consciousness. But still, the Hare is exactly how I feel right now: Apprehensive and overly cautious. And I DO have a very valid reason for that. Card 2 – the right side = the facts I am facing: 7 of Swords The Black Widow and her many knifes!! As a matter of facts I am facing at least 3 real life Human Black Widows And all their knifes – ready to slash. They – and several of their devout “hangers on” are the board members of our market. They all are totally into having POWER over other people and make up weird rules to exert their “powers”and make other artists lives miserable. For 37 years we were on the board in different capacities – as founding members. Last year they cut Peter off, because he was on holiday in August. Through local gossip they found out, that we do, as of late, have a few pennies to rub together and there is massive jealousy. So more weird rules were set into place to get us off the Market because of that and in turn also harass the others, especially our friends. 7 of Swords = Dishonest behaviour, trickery and betrayal Black Widow behaviour – all in the dark and in secret- with venom. Card 3 – The Middle Ground = What can I do: 9 of Cups The Royal Poodle sitting, oh so nice, and very well behaved and proper on his cushion. Oh damn, that is sooooo not me! But, Iffff I want to get through this, our last season there, I have to play nice and behave myself. For those of you, that know me personally, that will be a bit of a trick! 9 of cups is the Wish Card. Yes, all our wishes came true over the last few years and exactly THAT set the Black Widows in motion to spin their net. Let's see, how long I can keep my mouth shut and have them just watch while we sell off the last of our handmade treasures. On the last day we are there I am planning a big “Give Away” of free jewellery pieces to our loyal customers! Watch that, widows! -

Hi all! This week will be The Thomson-Leng Tarot and The Cat Oracle. The Thomson-Leng is an historical repro of a 1935 deck. (I got it back in 2012 from Melly Luhan, curioustarot. It looks like repros are now available from Tarot Collectibles.) It’s a funny one: It’s pretty much a RWS clone, except the suit of rods and the sword courts are based on Eude Picard. (So it looks like there is some confusion over whether swords are air or water.) And The Fool is 21 and The World is 22. The suits are Rods, Cups, Swords, and Pence. It has an extra card with a verse in fancy script: Through all the ages seers have sought The ways of fortune, fate, and strife. They wrote their knowledge on the cards As signposts for the road of life. We just had our tarot society giveaway party and I gained two decks and Benebell Wen’s Holistic Tarot (after I used her deck as a deck of the week . . .). One deck is The Cat Oracle. The photo collage is a little unsettling, with regular cat photos overlaid in odd ways with plant photos. It’s only 33 cards but has suits: Cat Archetypes, Cat Behaviors, Cat Things, Cat Features, and Cat Lady. I’ve been having trouble finding topics and/or spreads for my dailies, so I’ll use it as a spread deck this week. But first, interviews! What is your most important characteristic? Ace of Pence The most important thing is that it’s a reproduction that exists. What is your strength? 3 Pence The fact that it’s cobbled together from two decks is a strength? And that there has been a collaboration between the original creators and the reproducers. Your weakness? 6 Pence It doesn’t give you much? Or it’s not worth much monetarily? What can you teach me? 9 Rods It can teach me about the Picard rods. It can teach me that I can shine some light to others. How can I learn it? 3 Cups By enjoying it and feeling it. Three by the campfire turn into three celebrating. What will be the outcome of our work together? Strength We will build a strong relationship against all odds! One from each “suit.” What is your strength? Shop Cat, Dominion, Nonchalance, Icon It is a “work” of art that isn’t like any other, even though there are so many cat decks. Your weakness? Hissing, Warning Vulnerability, Defense It has a lot of negativity. What can I learn from you? Dish of Milk, Naivety, Temptation, Indulgence I can learn to be open-minded and enjoy what’s here for me. What will be the outcome of our work together? Tail, Grace, Emotion, Revelation The readings will be useful and pretty easy. Ok, we’ll see! -

Thank you Fire cat! I'm in with the Alchemical Renewed Tarot paired with the Oracle of the Radiant Sun. Posted just now Alchemical Renewed Tarot, Magician; Oracle of the Radiant Sun, Venus in Aries The discipline of desire is the background of character. —John Locke Place describes the Magician as the "soul of appetite, focused on the attainment of worldly desires." In the quote, Locke speaks of desire not as romance, but the way we want, take and consume. All desire starts in the mind, a focus that becomes a plan and strategy, that then manifests when we apply effort to create it. Venus in Aries is fiery, passionate, and unabashedly direct, approaching what is wanted with the zeal of a warrior. The booklet suggests we remain assertive but use gentleness and courtesy. As the saying goes, “you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.” Desires are natural, but we need to be discerning about which ones we choose to chase - we might end up with something we didn't bargain on. -
3-5 cards down the table after asking the cards "what do I need to know about this person------?" should give you enough information about him/her.

Yes. I would either do a yes/no reading or an open ended reading with 1-3 cards. I would be as specific as possible, so if I’m wondering about trustworthiness regarding love, friendship or business, I would make that part of the question. For example, if it is about romantic fidelity, I might ask “What can I expect from X in regards to romantic fidelity, in the foreseeable future of our relationship?”. (My phrasing might be awkward because I’m not a native English speaker, but hopefully you get the gist of what I’d want to include in the question). Yes/No questions require, in my personal opinion, a predetermined method which you preferably will have tested and evaluated for accuracy. I would not just lay down cards and then try to decide which cards mean yes vs no vs maybe. I have never had a reading incorrectly tell me what I expect or ‘want’ to hear. Typically I have no problems with reading for myself. If it’s a stressful topic then I might ask a friend to read for me. I also don’t have any issues with readings that involve multiple people. Our lives are typically full of people and our readings tend to reflect that. I have never come across a querent that just wanted to snoop on other people; if they ask for a reading that touches on other peoples lives, then it is always because of the way those people impact the querent’s own life.

Why thank you, Tanga! (it won't let me @ you for some reason) "WWDD?" certainly is a mantra for life, isn't it? I think my journey was completely the opposite - I read about Pixie's life and thought "what an interesting person!" And me being vaguely witchy my entire life, it was only a matter of time before I started slinging properly, for real this time 😄 But we can't all be the same, can we? Thanks for the warm welcome 🤗

That comes down to your own reading-preference. What holds is that you have to be capable of practicing your craft beyond the boundaries of accepted science and the walls erected in our brains by it. We are the explorers of the unknown - they do the ratification once it became explored enough and is thus "safe to handle", reputation-wise. You need to feel in your heart that you can do it. Sting-style: "Be yourself, no matter what they say."
