	(I accept the name's probably nonsense if you know Latin, I just liked the sound of it, sorry!)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	My second art project, a gift for my partner's birthday last year (they loved it!) Again - majors only. This one is a direct Noblet clone. I did my best to parse out some of the nonsensical cloth folds, and where I couldn't figure out what the heck's going on I just simplified it down. This one has proportions that makes it easily fit into the available "tarot size" sleeves (turns out tarot cards have been assigned the dimensions of 7x12cm by sleeve manufacturers). It doesn't show up too well in the pictures, but the various halos and background elements are painted with a gold acrylic ink.

	A while ago I was working on a couple of decks (Tarot and Lenormand) for my own personal use, which I got printed out, and have recently been looking at them again.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I used the <strong>CBD Tarot de Marseille</strong> by <strong>Dr. Yoav Ben-Dov </strong>as the basis for my Tarot decks, originally just as an exercise to edit them and recolour them digitally. <br />

</p>

<p>
	After completing that project, though, I decided to create an alternate set of Majors, based on my own interest in re-ordering the sequence of the cards.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I reordered the Majors based around the Wheel of Fortune as a ‘centre-point’ card, around which the others form different sequences and mirrored sequences.<br />

</p>

<p>
	Don’t worry, I don’t expect anyone to be interested in my weird personal Tarot trump sequence lol
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	But I took a picture of the edited Majors for my personal project all set out, arranged in a way to illustrate the altered sequence, and thought it might be cool to show people.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I also created two extra cards for the sequence, which are basically split-off from other cards - L'Initié (The Initiate) and La Terre (The Earth).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Because these were just for my own personal use, I used the La Consultante card from the El Gran Tarot Esoterico deck  as reference for my L'Initié card (the El Gran Tarot Esoterico is own of my favourite decks).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	For my La Terre card I used images of Atlas for reference, particularly a really neat medieval woodcut looking image (again, these cards were just for my personal use).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	If anyone is interested I can show some close ups/better pictures of the cards.
</p>

<p>

	I got distracted and forgot to post my most recent full 78-card deck! This was a challenge I posed to myself - trying to make a deck from a single magazine, Shadowplay issue 6. I liked the color schemes in there and it had plenty of people in various poses for it to be plausible. Not enough to make a full set of scenic cards, but combined with some pips with interesting backgrounds it actually turned out quite serviceable. I enjoy reading with it, even thought it's a little simpler than something I'd design completely from scratch if I had complete freedom to create whatever I wanted. (Granted, if I were to try that I simply wouldn't make a deck at all, getting stuck on trying to make the images perfect). And it's a definite plus that none of the images contain elements I disagree with <img alt=":classic_biggrin:" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://www.thetarotforum.com/uploads/emoticons/biggrin.png" srcset="https://www.thetarotforum.com/uploads/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" title=":classic_biggrin:" width="20" />
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	(I censored the Devil card because it was slightly suggestive and I didn't want to get into trouble here, but his tighty-whiteys have the seams form an inverted pentagram hehe)

	My third creation - another all-majors deck, this time executed in collage. I like the feel of the images, they carry a weight of human history and culture. I haven't numbered or named them but I frankenstein-ed a picture of them all in order, so you can more easily see what's what (if you're not fussy about your Strength and Justice cards). I'm not entirely sure if that's who it is, but the statue on the box lid made me think of Pastoral Apollo, who I associate with his oracular domain.

	Thought I'd share some of my deck creations (sorry if this is the wrong place, I saw three possibilities and decided as physical art objects I don't intend to sell or mass-produce they could probably fit here?)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	This is the first one I did, around this time last year. I call it the Candyfloss Keys - a majors only experiment in mixed media. I pulled out some of my Marseille decks for inspiration (mostly Soprafino and whatever the Piatnik Marseille deck is doing). I hadn't yet figured what a good way of protecting the surfaces would be. I used clear contact paper at first but after a little while it just came off because of the rough texture of the gesso. Since then I bought a few packs of plastic protective sleeves, except these cards are too tall to fit exactly. (I still used them, they cover around 75% of each card, works for me). I made my later decks to fit inside the sleeves, even though they're not my favorite proportions.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	They've been really fun to use, maybe I'll whip them out for an exchange reading or two once they're available to me <img alt=":classic_biggrin:" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://www.thetarotforum.com/uploads/emoticons/biggrin.png" srcset="https://www.thetarotforum.com/uploads/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" title=":classic_biggrin:" width="20" /> Definitely encourage everyone to give making their own little deck a shot. It was especially approachable knowing a) I can just do 22 instead of 78, and b) I can work directly off a classic deck/make a clone, instead of having to come up with everything from scratch.
</p>

<p>

<p>
	Most of the correspondences, I hope, will be easily understood by hardcore Lovecraft fans. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	MAJOR ARCANA:
</p>

<p>
	0: The Fool -- Azathoth; the Idiot God dancing at the Center of the Universe<br />
	I: The Magician -- Nyarlathotep; the wizard, the "Black Man" of the Witches' Sabbath<br />
	II: The High Priestess (in "Egyptian Tarots, "The Gate of the Sanctuary") -- Yog-Sothoth; “Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate."<br />
	III: The Empress -- Shub Niggurath; creeping feritility "The black goat of the woods, the beast with a thousand young!"<br />
	IV: The Emperor -- Hastur, Patron of the King in Yellow<br />
	V: The Hierophant -- Cthulhu; literally described by HPL as "the great priest Cthulhu"<br />
	VI: The Lovers -- Lavinia Whateley on Sentinel Hill; a deliberate play on the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn image, this was one of the cards I added to the deck. The image is that of Wizard Whatley summoning Yog Sothoth to mate with Lavinia, his daughter.<br />
	VII: The Chariot -- Ithaqua; one of the weaker correspondences, Ithaqua is the "Walker on the Wind"<br />
	VIII: Strength -- Shoggoth; the Lovecraftian equivalent of an apocalyptic "Beast" <br />
	IX: The Hermit -- Great Race of Yith; the ultimate hermits &amp; gatherers of knowledge <br />
	X: The Wheel of Fortune -- The Hounds of Tindalos; another weak one (no corners!)<br />
	XI: Justice -- Mi-Go; also weak, mostly an association between the Air of Libra and technology<br />
	XII: The Hanged Man -- Deep One; dweller in the Waters<br />
	XXIII: Death -- Ghoul; a rather gruesome (among gruesome) Momento Mori<br />
	XIV: Temperance -- Elder Thing; for their genetic engineering, and similar tech<br />
	XV: The Devil -- Tsathoggua; weak, but definitely the "Devil" of many Robert E. Howard stories<br />
	XVI: The Tower -- R'lyeh Rising; the catastrophic beginning of the Lovecraftian Apocalypse<br />
	XVII: The Star -- Nodens; the one shining light against the Old Ones.<br />
	XVIII: The Moon -- Night Gaunt; denizens of the night sky<br />
	XIX: The Sun -- Yig the Serpent God; another weak one, basicall the "rhythms" of the Wheel of the Solar Year<br />
	XX: Judgement -- Cthulhu Awakens; the Lovecraftian inverse of the Day of Judgement<br />
	XXI: The World -- The Crawling Chaos; Nyarlathotep's full realization as Master of the New World Disorder

	I written in a thread about writing guidebooks for decks, that I have . . .  begun writing a guidebook for my deck to understand it easier. I draw as a hobby and I felt that drawing the decks would help me remember them better (it actually doesnt because a couple months later i have forgotten a lot :c). I have been consistent enough to want to just make my own TDM deck because I feel it would probably be . . . "more mine", that is, more of my essence and intention would have been poured into it. I did the trumps and started some of the coins. I dont know how to post a bunch of pictures without it looking obnoxious so here are a few of my favorites:<img class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="39906" data-ratio="53.05" width="984" alt="ScreenShot2024-06-10at2_41_11PM.png.9442d5e5592e62fda93faf0c8fad31db.png" data-src="https://www.thetarotforum.com/uploads/monthly_2024_06/ScreenShot2024-06-10at2_41_11PM.png.9442d5e5592e62fda93faf0c8fad31db.png" src="https://www.thetarotforum.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

	I designed this deck, under Rabbinical authorization, back in 1987. I was fortunate to have been allowed to study Qabalah, and mentioned to one of my study partners the correspondences some have made between Tarot &amp; Qabalah. The more we examined it, the more interesting the possibilities became. Ultimately, the school itself printed up a bunch of blank cards for me to draw this deck. FWIW, the "TORA TARO" name is theirs, I prefer "Altneu Qabalah."

	A while ago, before the media frenzy on anything related to Artificial Intelligence began in earnest, I made my own Lenormand deck using generative AI. These days I'm not sure I'd do the same, given how badly the tide of public opinion has turned against it, but I needed something copyright-free for the phone app I was developing. Here's a few of the cards I came up with. Most are as the AI generated them, but some are lightly edited to correct minor issues. I added the titles, numbers and card suits manually.

	This is a super unusual Oracle deck <span><span class="ipsEmoji">🙂</span> I created the art for it in my 20's when I was backpacking across Eastern Europe, and almost entirely on A5 paper using pencil and ballpoint pen. The "main character" of the deck is The Inner Mask, a being whose face is a mask that looks within itself, and is driven by the question "who am I?"</span>

	Hello y'all!
</p>

<p>
	Not sure whether to put this here or in the Deck Creator's Lounge or both. <span><span class="ipsEmoji">🙂</span></span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In the spirit of hidden meanings, this deck is made as a Welsh road sign memory match game with the Hebrew alphabet, with 22 matches (44 cards).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The story of the pictures: I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, then spent another half of my life in Ireland; about a year ago we moved from Ireland, across the Atlantic ocean a second time, to Oklahoma. On the trip we visited Edinburgh Scotland, London, and Wales. I was enamoured by the Welsh road signs, and took many pictures of them (the crown achievement being the badger warning sign, the top left one; I prayed I would get that one). Month's later I wanted to post some of them online, and picked out my favourites. It wasn't until after I had been resizing and editing them that I realised I had chosen 22 favourites. I'm certain this wasn't entirely accidental.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	So I matched them as I thought they best fit with the major arcana, indicating the match by a Hebrew letter, doubled them so it would be a memory match game, and ordered it from boardgamesmaker.com.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'll be making other major arcana decks as memory match games in future - I'm quite excited.
</p>

<p>

</p>

	Hey all! Been working on my first deck which at least for now I'm calling the "Tarot Obscura". It's influenced a lot by lithography and medieval woodcuts. Here's some WIP shots of my favorites in the suit of wands and cups<span></span>! Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated, I'm entirely new to this! These are the originals, I'm still gonna do some tidying up in photoshop:

	The tarot is an established system of images.
</p>

<p>
	I wished to see whether an AI image generating program would produce meaningful results from the card names.
</p>

<p>
	Wether or not the produced images would comply with the established meanings and iconography of the tarot in an artistic and meaningful way.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I used the WOMBO DREAM app, free from the playstore.
</p>

<p>
	I made the cards using only a typed prompt and a chosen preset style.
</p>

<p>
	The prompt format was always the theme (fluffy bunny) and the card name.
</p>

<p>
	eg. fluffy bunny, the fool
</p>

<p>
	fluffy bunny, the magician
</p>

<p>
	and so on.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I would be open to any comments, both on the method I used and the cards themselves.

	Hi everybody !<br /><br />
	I'm too excited to show you my own tarot : the Arcanya Tarot ! Maybe someone on this forum already heard about it !? <span class="ipsEmoji">😃</span><br /><br />
	Like a said in my presentation topic, I'm crazy about Tarot AND role playing games, espacially about Fantasy.<br /><br />
	And I'm just simply... crazy, too. <span class="ipsEmoji">😅</span><br />
	So when I started to create the first illustrations, I had the idea the create a whole entire universe, with an Emperor, a Magician, a real godess called "Justice", etc...<br />
	I wrote a novel about an amazing story about all these characters ! This took me a more than a year.<br /><br />
	I took more than 2 years to study tarot, all the symbols in each arcana, and in several languages, especially the Tarot de Marseille and the RWS.<br />
	In the same time, I tried to find a way to do mostly shadow work with my tarot, to trigger deep emotional feelings with a dark world, pretty desperate.<br />
	I think for most people, it's easier to see a holly light and keep the right direction when you're watching a good immersive movie or reading a great book, than when it comes to your own life. <br /><br />
	Now, my tarot is almost finished and it'll soon be printed, but I dont wanna do adverstising here, just want your tarot-lovers' opinion <span class="ipsEmoji">😁</span><br /><br /><img alt="spacer.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="75.08" height="750" style="height:auto;" width="855" data-src="https://www.arcanya.fr/mypics/img01.jpg" src="https://www.thetarotforum.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><br /><br />
	And with a friend, we did a real map of this world <span>:</span><br /><img alt="spacer.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="68.28" height="678" style="height:auto;" width="993" data-src="https://www.arcanya.fr/mypics/map_temp2.jpg" src="https://www.thetarotforum.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><br /><br />
	Oh, and the most amazing : I'm currently working about a real deep  <strong>original sountrack</strong> for the world of Arcanya, so it will have it's own musical intense and deep mood !!! Yeah, I told you I'm crazy XD !! But so excited ! <span class="ipsEmoji">🤪</span><span class="ipsEmoji">🤪</span><span class="ipsEmoji">🤪</span></p>

<p>
	I already want to start 3 or 4 other projects ! If possible, still in 2021 ! In the same universe ! <span class="ipsEmoji">😃</span></p>

<p>
	<br />
	I'll show you more pics tomorrow maybe, when I'll have more time !<br /><br />
	Have a great day everyone !! Blessed be !<br /><br />
	Sebastien

	Hi, I have designed the Major Arcana and wanted to gather people’s oppions as to wether I should design the entire Tarot deck. Please go easy on me as this is my very first deck I have designed though I have previously designed a fantasy board game. I do appologise for the format and I do hope I am not infringing any rules by posting this way. The images are protected in this format from people clicking on them to copy. I do hope you enjoy them and look forward to hearing your responses and any suggestions you may have.

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Note; whatever printer you end up with be sure to ask for round edges carbon or black core  &amp; at least 300gsm anything less is bad for Tarot cards!:)
</p>

<p>
	also linen/Embossed card texture is my favorite &amp; what I use with my thegamecrafter &amp; drivethrucards selfpublished decks!:)
</p>

<p>
	&amp;downloading Tarot card size templates from thegamecrafter is good idea as these are Standard &amp; will work with dtc &amp; other pod as well!:)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Note2; printing in China may seem like a good idea for all fancy options mpc offer but it's not!:) why?;)
</p>

<p>
	1) shipping cost &amp; time!(most of your orders will be in US! it's faster &amp; more affordable to ship from US printers like dtc (7$ with tracking!:)
</p>

<p>
	2) tax &amp; extra fees!:) if you *import something from outside your country tax/vat/post collecting fees is possible!:) &amp; you'll probably need to explain your tax form if you do big ks/receive lot of $ at once!:) &amp; you are likely to get more backers if you ship from Europe so there is no extra import tax vat &amp; postage fees they had to pay for parcels outside EU!:)
</p>

<p>
	3) investment it require; Be sure to check out this Awesome Blog for All info Tarot &amp; Costs of Selfpublishing;
</p>

<p>
	<span><a href="https://benebellwen.com/2018/11/26/the-actual-cost-of-self-publishing-a-tarot-deck" rel="external nofollow">https://benebellwen.com/2018/11/26/the-actual-cost-of-self-publishing-a-tarot-deck</a>/ &amp; her digital course for selfpublishers; </span>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	4) better card stock quality &amp; price(mpc &amp;ps now charge double for same embossed/linen card stock you have on dtc &amp; tgc!x,x facepalm
</p>

<p>
	5) search engine, (mpc &amp; ps are missing these! so only way for people to find your game is by direct link you post somewhere or random luck?x,x
</p>

<p>
	6) exposure &amp; sale statistic not only your deck won't sell that well on mpc &amp; pc but can you be sure their statistic (if they have any?)is correct?x,x
</p>

<p>
	7) copyright! fact is China have different regulation for this than US &amp; EU &amp; if you send your img to their printer they may use it anyway they like, or that's what I hear?x,x
</p>

<p>
	8 ) buyer protection &amp; costumer service, my 1st &amp; last order from mpc was lost &amp; never found!x,x even they charged me extra for *tracking number &amp; insurance!x,x facepalm I contacted their costumer service more than once but never got any reply!x,x in the end I had to go to paypal lucky they decided in my refund! point is;
</p>

<p>
	9) paypal is your best insurance! if your printing company don't have paypal better look for one who does!:D
</p>

	Hello tarot community! I am excited to share with you my first tarot deck project, the Cyber Seeker Tarot Deck. This 78 card deck brings a unique and modern twist to traditional tarot, incorporating elements of technology, science fiction, and dystopian themes. Each card is carefully designed with intricate details and vivid imagery to enhance your tarot reading experience.
</p>

<p>
	I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the art of this deck. Have you ever used a tarot deck with similar themes? What do you think about incorporating technology into tarot readings? I appreciate any and all opinions and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your support!

	At this point, this is more a question about a deck project than a deck creation... but would be relevant to deck creation.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'm wanting to print out the line drawings of the CBD deck, and color and cut them myself... I want to try it with both colored pencils and watercolors.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	To anyone who has made cards, can you recommend a brand or grade of paper or cardstock that would be good?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks

	<span style="font-size:14px;">Hello! I found this lovely forum and wanted to introduce my oracle deck called Endless Expression. I never thought I would create my own Oracle deck. But here we are.  During the spring of 2022, I felt the urge to paint and realized that resisting would be pointless. </span>My first attempt was to make a Tarot deck, but my paintings didn't seem suitable. The goal I set for myself this year was to finish all the paintings and write the instruction booklet. I succeeded in my goal. So now my next goal is to find a suitable printing house and funding for my project.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<span><span style="color:#262626;"><em>This deck combines two things I love, my spiritual path and abstract art.</em> <span class="ipsEmoji">💖</span></span></span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	During the creative phase, I was in my element, but now I struggle to take the next steps. How did you start marketing your deck and where? How to create hype? I currently promote on Instagram using hashtags and also have a Tumblr site. Site traffic has not been boosted by hashtags. Most of the likes are from my own followers. Another challenge I face is that Kickstarter does not operate in my home country. So I can't set up a Kickstarter campaign. Indiegogo doesn't seem very successful, and most crowdfunding campaigns for decks have failed there. <em>Any advice?</em>

	I've completed all the major arcana and the four aces of my first attempt at creating a tarot deck using Midjourney AI + Gimp + Inkscape, as I described in the <a href="https://www.thetarotforum.com/forums/topic/14015-a-deck-for-the-writer-i-dream-to-be/?do=findComment&amp;comment=242340" rel="">"Journal" section of the forums</a>.
</p>

<p>
	The cards are available for free at their highest resolution (900x1500) and ready to be printed using one of the many existing print-on-demand services (eg MPC, Gamecrafter or Printerstudio).
</p>

<p>
	See my signature for the link.

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I initially planned to use these cards together with a book I recently bought on how to structure and analyze stories (novel, screenplays, etc) using tarots, I'm not sure if I'll use it as it is, make the other cards (at least the court ones?), or redo the deck entirely.

	I'm planning to create a deck or few in future, and am going over the titles that have been used for the various cards.
</p>

<p>
	I made this rough diagram the other day, more or less to express my frustration in trying to choose the title for Number Zero, mushing together a bunch of titles and descriptions and related concepts and where they overlap. It seems that there is no word which actually expresses the foundational concept of the character. What to put in place of the question mark? Or perhaps it would be appropriate enough to use "?" as its title, or to have him unnamed as he is unnumbered.
