I ordered from the Amazon US site on Sept. 9.  I just got an email saying I will receive it on Oct. 3 or 4, so apparently things are moving forward in terms of Amazon US availability.  However, the seller listed on the item page on Amazon is currently defaulting to a third-party seller named "Psalms 24," so if you want to order it from Amazon directly (in order to get Prime Shipping), make sure you go to the "Other sellers on Amazon" section in the right-hand column and click "add to cart" for the one that says "sold by Amazon."

Hi Lee! Good to see you here! I was wondering which of the new forums you'd be active in. :D (This is blue-fusion from AT). Thanks for sharing the info regarding Amazon's delivery. It also apparently is available now in BookDepository - which is a bit of a surprise since I expected Amazon to have the deck earlier than BD.

I wondered if anyone in the UK / Europe has received their deck yet here? I preordered it to come on the 1st September but had an email on that day that it was not possible to fulfil and would be postponed to now arrive between 20 Sep - 12 Oct  :o I did order the preorder just a few days before the 1st but I wonder if anyone has got the deck in Europe yet? Looks like there is not enough stock or distributed enough, Ly you are selling too fast!  :))

I haven’t got my deck yet, Dan. I preordered back in Feb! The date keeps getting pushed back but I’m hoping it will get here before Christmas. [emoji23]

Hi Lee! Good to see you here!

Hi Ly, good to see you too, your deck looks great and I'm looking forward to it!  Also hello to Holmes -- I don't have enough posts yet to respond to PM's.  :)

Another Amazon update - on Amazon's item page, it still says "temporarily out of stock," but they sent me an email, my delivery date has been updated from October 3 to September 21, yay!

I'm glad things are progressing with the Amazon orders - I imagine the decks are still on their way to various retailers. (Also, thanks again Lee for your suggestions when I was writing the deck's LWB! That was a big help - my mind was all over the place when I was drafting it, so your advice kinda helped narrow down the direction I wanted to take with the text.)

I've also discovered that there's already a youtube review of the deck! He edged his copy in burgundy it it looks really nice and classy (did a great, dynamic reading using the deck too):

They sent me an email, too...but when i tried to purchase it, it once again said "Temporarily Out of Stock"--it is getting a  bit frustrating!  :P  Happy for you, though, Lee!!! <3 It gives me hope.

They might be selling faster than the stores are stocking them. :-/ It's now out of stock in Bookdepository again! I really hope the deliveries to the smaller stores arrive so people will have more access to the deck. Hope you get your copy soon too!

I received mine yesterday.  I'm pretty pleased, I ordered it on Sept. 9th and got it the 20th.  I hope you get yours soon MoonGypsy!

I love this deck!  It looks nice in scans but it's even better in person.  I'll be posting some observations over the next few days.

Also, thanks again Lee for your suggestions when I was writing the deck's LWB! That was a big help - my mind was all over the place when I was drafting it, so your advice kinda helped narrow down the direction I wanted to take with the text.

You are very gracious, kind sir!  I'm delighted to have been of some assistance.  :)

Hi Jewel, long time no see, happy to see you!

Some disjointed remarks --

The deck really is stunningly beautiful.  I love the way it somehow combines the faded-color look of antique decks with the bright and varied colors of modern decks.

The faces on the majors and courts are full of life, expression, and personality, while also being a bit more pleasant than in some antique decks.

While being mainly traditional, there are little individualistic touches that are very welcome.  Some of the cards have starry skies as backgrounds.  The large star on the Star is a shooting star.  There are even some occult references -- the lion on the World is alchemically green.

For the pips, I very much appreciate the roman numerals at the top of the cards, so you can always easily tell if the card is upright or reversed.  As far as I know/remember, the only other decks to have this feature are the Fournier decks (TdM and Spanish Tarot).

One very interesting factor is that in this deck, the vegetation and scrollwork actually overshadow the pip symbols.  They really come alive, providing a great opportunity for those readers who like to study the floral decorations for inspiration.

Purists will want to note that not every pip card is faithful to what's now considered the norm -- for example, the 10 of Cups does not have a large cup on its side at the top.  Doesn't bother me at all.

I love the small size of the cards!  (I don't have a ruler near me - maybe 2 1/2 inches tall?)  Very convenient, and also unusual for TdMs.  The cards have a beige background which is "aged" with stains and spots (which are different for every card, by the way).

This is my first USGames deck in a tin.  I like it!

There are so many layers and colors and details in the images, it's quite a production.  Many kudos to Ly for a tour de force.

I was think the same thing.  Was also thinking that I should buy it even though I don't know how to read it.

I forgot to say (knew I'd forget something), in the Little White Booklet, Ly gives a very good explanation of the suit+number method of reading pips, so for anyone who hasn't read with Marseille or other non-scenic-pip decks, this would be a great deck to start with.

Thanks, Lee. I'm really happy when people get my intentions in my work. Like I guess even the original TdM artists, I also wanted to add my own little touches to my work, like adding details which feel right - maybe not exactly to the tradition - but right to me. (which is also why I try to assert that my work is TdM-inspired instead of an actual TdM, though I did try to stick to most of the tradition).

For the pips, I very much appreciate the roman numerals at the top of the cards, so you can always easily tell if the card is upright or reversed.  As far as I know/remember, the only other decks to have this feature are the Fournier decks (TdM and Spanish Tarot).

Yes, I wanted the deck to also be more accessible to more people. People who don't read reversals won't mind the numerals on the top, but it's a big help to people who read reversals (which is why all my decks have reversible or functionally reversible backs). As for the 10 of Cups - I think that was the result of a compromise with my OCD side subconsciously asserting itself - I wanted to reference the "one big cup" in the original card, but also wanted something that feels right to me, in terms of symmetry. So I just placed the one big cup in the center.

Just to add too, some other departures: the 2 of Cups has the bottom design extended instead of having some text at the bottom part, and the 2 of Deniers has an s-shaped wreath in lieu of the scrollwork in the original.

Also, the suits are subtly color-coordinated to help the beginner (because, for example, swords and staves might be confusing at first to them).

I forgot to say (knew I'd forget something), in the Little White Booklet, Ly gives a very good explanation of the suit+number method of reading pips, so for anyone who hasn't read with Marseille or other non-scenic-pip decks, this would be a great deck to start with.
Again, thanks for your advice regarding this. :)

Thanks again, and I really am happy that someone as established in the tarot world likes this recent creation of mine. :)

A very belated thank you to all who have posted their well-wishings and feedback on the deck. I have been out of (tarot) circulation for some time but I'm trying to be more active in it again. I'm glad the Maria Celia has begun to be more accessible in more countries in the last few months. It certainly had its share of release delays. :D I was supposed to be working on some freebie materials related to it but got delayed because of life and work issues. But I'll be announcing the release of those with links when I've finished them.
