marinaoracles
I have recently come across images of a deck called "Conjure Cards: Fortune-Telling Card Deck and Guidebook", by Jake Richards. It's inspired by the traditions and folklore of Appalachia. I really like the look of the cards, but it seems they have a system of their own, so it's not a "neutral" PC deck. Then again, I supppose it'd be possible to use it with other methods, if you see the images merely as decorative. I was curious if anyone else has this deck and, if so, what have been your experiences with it! Also, is the guide that comes with it any good? Thanks! katrinka
I tend to think of "Conjure" as hoodoo rather than Appalachian Scots-Irish folk magic (though I'm sure there's a bit of overlap), but this does look interesting. I might cave and get it at some point. I'm a little concerned about authenticity, so I'd like to hear other peoples' experiences, too.
