nord_drache
Hi, I'm nord_drache and my business is Your Dreams in Wood by James Lukow and I am located in Lindsay, Ontario Canada. www.yourdreamsinwood.ca First let me thank Quote @Little Fang for giving me permission to post here. Those members who belonged to Aeclectic Tarot may remember me. All items I create are made from domestic species of hard and softwood. I don't do painted finishes as I think this obscures the beauty of the grain - so I use an oil finish on hardwoods and water based urethane on softwoods often stained. Most decoration is done with molding, this will change as I learn to carve. All bowls are hand turned finished with a beeswax based polish. All other turned items are finished with a friction polish. On pricing - please PM me about the item using the code shown, I will get back asap. I take custom orders as well for item types shown and much more. On to the goods . . . nord_drache
Curio boxes . . . These boxes have been sized to store tarot decks, but can be used for so much more. The following is a reference picture comparing the 3 sizes of deck I used in the pictures. CB003 is stained pine CB006 is quartersawn oak with an oil finish CB007 is also stained pine CB007 - SOLD Edited November 9, 2023 by nord_drache CB007 - SOLD
nord_drache
Deck storage . . . Curio boxes aren't the only option. I show one of my pieces that wasn't originally sized for decks. Small hanging oak cabinet with kumiko work door. As shown decks could be stored on the outer shelves of this small hanging cabinet (several shelves are adjustable). The inner cabinet is too shallow - unless you have some decks less than 2" wide. Just to show you don't have to limit yourself to curio boxes. nord_drache
Greetings everyone . . . As promised I present a selection of pendulums. I was inspired by the divination thread here and online articles. Online it was said that wooden pendulums are more "neutral" - I can't speak from experience. These pendulums are hand-turned from domestic wood species, with a friction polish. Please message me if interested. Jim
