It's finally coming!

There have been a few whispers about a dark/gothic deck that the acclaimed Tarot author Sasha Graham has been working on, but there has been nothing concrete until now. All we know is that it will be a collaboration between Graham and Mirco Pierfederici with the latter as the illustrator. It's also set to be released next year.

Just a few hours ago, she finally made a reveal post in her Instagram account, and oh, it's everything I have ever wished for and more! Since this is a collab, I'm going to be expecting a deck and book set, but let's see!

It looks like an interesting deck, but I just hope that being a LS deck, that the details are not too small.

Me too, Emilija! I think that larger cards would prolly do justice to the images in this deck. :)

It's strange, but I just noticed that the King of Wands kinda looks like my dad when he was much younger.

I'll have to keep an eye out for this one. Looks great!

When I get my copy, I shall definitely try that spread. It's so fitting. Thanks Emilija!

A Halloween collaboration between the best selling author, Sasha Graham and Italian artist, Mirco Pierfederici, this Tarot deck is like an illustrated novel. The Fool finds herself inside the mysteries of the Haunted House, unlocking room after room as if following the journey of the Hero, discovering the true, romantic and chilling story of the mansion, but at the same time, discovering her own past and origin.

Great Premise, but not really my favorite art style; but then, i have never been a fan  of

romance novels.

It's strange. Some of the images look as if they were drawn or painted or something, and not digital at all. I'd post higher resolution pics when I get my hands on some.

Either way, it just doesn't appeal to me very much...

Not so far, anyway. But as i mentioned, i usually don't care for Romance Novel type of art. Goddess knows, i have to draw the line somewhere, as i have really been on a deck buying binge this past year! eek! :P But mostly Indy/Self Published decks.

Yeah, I was commenting on the art itself. I wasn't replying to your post, MoonGypsy. I was wondering what medium Pierfederici used for the deck.

Almost anything haunted or "ooh scary" or "ooh, send-up of scary"  goes on my wanted list.  (Except those haunted decks on Ebay, heh.)

Same with me, VGimlet! i really wanted to like this deck...but i just can't warm up to the art...

Bohemian Gothic is still one of my all time favorites.

Glad you liked it too, VGimlet. Right now it's on my to-buy list.

Regarding the "haunted" stuff on these auction sites, the only thing that they will probably haunt is the buyer's self-esteem, after he realizes that he's prolly been duped.

I've given up on LoScarabeo decks for the most part (with some exceptions, like the Silicon Dawn) and this one looks awfully similar in tone to a lot of their other darker ones - I'd still like to flip through it though, just to see the story.

There isn't going to be a book with it, is there?

If there were, I might reconsider; I'm a big fan of Sasha Graham's '365 Tarot Spreads' book (although I was underwhelmed with Tarot Diva).

I would so want a companion book to the Haunted House too, Hedera! It's not a sure thing tho, but there are some indications that there might be a book or at least a substantial LWB in the works:

1. Sasha Graham is a renowned author of best-selling Tarot books. Since this deck is basically a collaboration with Marvel illustrator Mirco Pierfederici, I think she'll take up the writerly duties and at the very least write the text for the deck. It would be weird if LoS doesn't insist on it.

2. In the Amazon sites of different countries, the item is listed as weighing 1.11 lbs. I looked at various LoS deck-only offerings and they weigh around just half or sometimes even less than that. Since it's much heavier than a deck, it makes me think that it would include a book.

3. Finally, on July 19/20 last year, Sasha posted Mirco's sketch of the Hierophant in her Facebook account. Someone commented "You should also have an interpretation", to which she replied "The interpretations will all be in the book :))) Xoxoxox".

So yeah, unless LoS changes their mind, I think there is going to be a book. :)

Edit: I initially included screenshots of the Facebook comments I mentioned in this post. When I checked tho, those weren't publicly visible to non-FB visitors so I just took them down to respect Ms. Graham's privacy. I still have the receipts tho, so rest assured that what I stated was accurate. :)

Lol yes - I have been curious about this deck.

Will wait to see...

Lovely to hear Sasha speak at the London Tarot Conference last October...

Nice to put a face and feel of the person to the name.

Oooh, interesting, thank you!!

LOL, that Hierophant makes me laugh, especially the guy on the right looks like he is recoiling in horror from the sight of a woman... ;)
