I'm still choosing between this and the Paulina for my very first Cassidy deck with the favor slightly tilted in the Spiritsong's favor because I think I need more animal-themed Tarot.

I just got the Paulina today and it is very beautiful. Some of the cards, especially the Majors, are very busy with a lot of little details so it might be overwhelming. It has sort of a fairy vibe to it I think. The Minors are very character-oriented so they dominate the cards a lot. It is mostly very close to the RWS (which it is based on) but some cards are a bit hard to connect just by the image as the person taking up the card might not look much like the RWS counterpart. The little booklet provides some guidance for this, luckily. A good example is the Ten of Pentacles where the image is kind of similar to the 9 of Pentacles with a lady in a nice dress holding an orb, not very close to the generational family with their pet portrayed in the RWS. The guidebook says the orb is a gift from her ancestors and she can see her good future in it, which brings us closer to the theme that card would be associated with.

Mostly I am very happy with it and I'm very excited to start using it soon! I already own the Joie de Vivre and I see some similarities between them, like the chest in the Devil card, but the Joie is definetely softer than this deck. The Paulina Tarot was Paulina Cassidy's first tarot deck and she might have come more into her own since she made it, even though the booklet says she spent 1 1/2 years immersed in tarot when making it and she was not unfamiliar with it as she had wanted to make a tarot deck for a very long time. The Spiritsong Tarot looks beautiful too and I don't think you could go wrong with any of her decks, but I thought I should write up some things I noticed about the Paulina Tarot since it just came ;) It also has that nice thicker cardstock from US Games if you're familiar with them, not the glossy and thinner they use for some of the other decks.

Thanks for providing some perspective on the different Cassidy decks, Page of Ghosts! I haven't explored fairy-themed decks yet, so I thought hers would be a good place to start. I've begun to like them more and more. :)

The Joie de Vivre is also a really nice deck.  It is less busy than the Paulina and it really surprised me (in a good way).

Thanks Jewel! I just looked closely at sample images of the Joie de Vivre and now it has become a three-way. I guess her art is just so endearing that people are spoilt for choice.

I spent a couple of months working almost exclusively with the Joie de Vivre, and I found it very evocative and easy to ready with as well as very intuitive.  I have the Paulina as well, but I found this one just flowed when reading with it, and I used it for casual readings as well as self exploration including some difficult things like exploring fears and it was gentle and helpful without sugar coating.  Like I said it really surprised me in a good way.  It is now one of my regular go to decks, which I never imagined it would be.
