Ix Chel Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Learning Court Cards can be very difficult. In my Tarot Journey I have found a list with 60 Quirky Court Card Questions from Kelly-Ann Maddox (Source: http://www.kelly-annmaddox.com/2014/10/60-quirky-court-card-questions.html ). For me this was very helpful to understand the Courts better. I am wondering if it is possible to create a Study Group for the 60 Quirky Court Card Questions. So that every question, will have his own topic. In this way we can learn more about the Court Cards in a very pleasant and fun way.
Ix Chel Posted January 24, 2018 Author Posted January 24, 2018 I'd think you'd need her permission... I will try to contact her, to see if she gives permission for this.
Lantana Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Thank you for sharing this, Ix Chel! Even if a study group doesn’t happen, I’ll still try this out on my own time.
Hemera Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I hope you'll get her permission Ix Chel. And thank you for posting this link! I'm always having trouble with courts and I'd love a study group like this.
Starlight Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Thank you for sharing the link. This is a FUN way to start getting to grips with the courts. :)
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 This is very interesting! It sorta reminds me of the 21 Ways To Read A Tarot Card study group in the old AT, tho it is simpler. Kindly update us on whether Ms. Maddox agrees, Ix Chel. If she does, then we're going to set this up so that we can start posthaste. :D
Ix Chel Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 Here is the text from the email which I have sent to her: Hello Kelly-Ann, I am a Tarot lover. I love your list with the 60 Quirky Court Card Questions ( http://www.kelly-annmaddox.com/2014/10/60-quirky-court-card-questions.html ). For me this was very helpful to understand the Courts better. I am wondering if you give permission to use your list for the Tarot, Tea, & Me - A Tarot Readers Community (https://www.thetarotforum.com/index.php ). So that it is possible to create a Study Group for the 60 Quirky Court Card Questions. I am looking forward to your answer. Kind regards, Ix Chel Her answer by email, she wrote: Hi there! I’m so glad it’s helpful! Go right ahead and use it for a study group resource - no problem. What an honour! Much love! Kelly-Ann I am happy that she gives us permission to start this study group.
Jewel Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 This is very interesting! It sorta reminds me of the 21 Ways To Read A Tarot Card study group in the old AT, I can't remember if I participated in that group or not, but I did do 21 Ways first as an apprentice then went back through and did it as a journeyman and I have to say I learned and got so much out of that. I have been seriously thinking about doing it all over again.
Albadawn Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 I'd definitely like to take part in the study group! SaturnCeleste[/member] Little Fang[/member] , can we make this happen? ;D
Albadawn Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Just a note to say I've moved this thread over to the Study Group now. :)
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Thank you so much, Little Fang! Ix Chel[/member] we suggest that you only add 1 to 3 threads a day. This is so that we won't get too overwhelmed with a deluge of questions. It would also help us to focus and think carefully about our answers to each thread. I shall add a pinned index thread later and update it every time you add a question so that users would have easy access.

A pinned index thread is a great idea. Thanks EmpyreanKnight.
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Thank you too, Ix Chel! I've already created the index thread for this study group here: https://www.thetarotforum.com/60-quirky-court-cards/60-questions-study-group-index/ So now when you look at the subforum for this group here: https://www.thetarotforum.com/60-quirky-court-cards/ you'd find it as the topmost, pinned post. It'd be useful once the group expands to lots of pages.

I have been seriously thinking about doing it all over again. I've been thinking about that too, Jewel! Let's see tho. At 3 questions a day, this study group will have gone through all 60 questions in 3 weeks, give or take a day or two. Even after it ends, the threads are going to always be open to anyone who wants to participate later on and post their answers. If by the end of 3 weeks, this group proves to be moderately successful, I don't see why we should not have a 21 Ways study group. Once it pushes through, I already know who shall host it. ;)
skywatching Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Awesome !! I'm definitely taking part in this :D

DanielJUK Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 Sadly since this thread was originally started, the blog post link has been deleted. I'm currently updating and refreshing this section and for future reference in this thread..... Link to her other blog that works to this blog post which started this discussion - https://thefourqueens.blogspot.com/2014/10/60-quirky-court-card-questions.html Video of Kelly-Ann which went with the original blog post -
