So this has become a spread that I've been using more and more lately. It was made popular by Oswald Wirth, though it most likely predated him, and is a staple in many French cartomancy/tarot books.

It's laid down like this:

Though the meanings given to each position varies, I tend to use it like so:

• Card 1 as what's for the situation

• Card 2 as what's against the situation

• Card 3 as the advice regarding the situation

• Card 4 as the outcome if you take the advice

• Card 5 as the synthesis/final say

I've seen some people use Card 1 as the querent, or they'll read cards 1, 5 & 2 as the present situation, with Card 3 being thoughts and Card 4 being actions. There's so many ways you can adapt this spread!

So I'm curious how others on here read with this spread. If you do, what positions do you use? If you don't/haven’t would you try it? If so, what positions would you want to use?

I've moved this thread to the Tarot Spreads area, which will fit it better 🙂
