I'm from Michigan, USA, and I've been interested in tarot since I was in high school when I got my first Rider Waite deck but then gave up reading due to pressure from my conservative religious peers.  I'm 43 now and much less concerned with what others think so I picked up another deck a few months ago and have been avidly studying since.  I deeply regret leaving the tarot when I did since it's turned into such an insightful tool for self reflection but I'm glad I found it again and happy to have found this forum!

Welcome to TT&M, @Jezebelladonna! 🥳 I hear you about conservative religious peers - no way they're going to dictate how we should live our lives 😉

Welcome to the community @Jezebelladonna 😀:animated-smileys-signs-085: I am sorry you felt peer pressured to give it up but glad you found it again 🙂 . If it make you feel better, I have noticed a lot of people give up the decks in the 20's / early 30's and come back to them in their late 30's and onwards naturally. Like I think there are times you need tarot in your life and other times you don't :78496:.

Welcome, Jezebelladonna! I'm new too. Love your screen name. 😄 Sad to see peer pressure had forced you to abandon tarot. But it's never too late to pick it back up again. Best of luck to you!
