ORIGINAL Mythic Tarot reprint

I mentioned this in the thread on the reprint of the Oracle of the Radiant Sun, but thought it should be shared here in Tarot Decks too that the ORIGINAL Mythic Tarot will be coming out in a newly published edition by Eddison, coming Autumn 2019. There are some details in the Eddison catalogue here- go to page 29.

I was captured by the original Mythic Tarot which I acquired in my first year of Tarot.  The art is special and I loved the use of story in the deck.  :)

That's great! I don't care much for the New Mythic artwork so I have the German edition of the original Mythic (Das Delphisches Tarot), which I'm very happy with. I've seen comparisons between the original English and current German edition where the German is smaller than the old English one. Will be great to see this lovely deck get another chance to shine :))

This is such good news. I could never understand the reason for changing the perfectly wonderful original artwork in the first place. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I wasn't aware of the story about Tricia, or even how the New Mythic came to be, so I took a jaunt over to Aeclectic and read every single page in that thread. I am in shock. What a way to discover your work was being recreated (and not an improvement either) I wish I had picked up the original when I had had the opportunity.  Truthfully, I wasn't in love with the artwork in the original, so I didn't get it.  Compared to the new version, the original one is more attractive and charming to me.  I love greek myths, so I finally gave in and just got the New, but I haven't cracked it open yet.  :o  I don't hate the artwork on the new, but......yeah, the original one looks more appealing to me now. 

Autumn 2019 seems so far off.....do I keep the New and purchase the Old when it comes out? Is there an enabling/deenabling thread somewhere on this forum? LOL

The Original Mythic Tarot was my very first Tarot deck, given to me by my mom. I'm very much into the Heroic Cycle of Greek mythology/literature, so it stands along with the Renaissance Tarot as one of my absolute favorites. I was taken aback when I learned that it has been superseded by a newer version, one that is not very visually flattering at that. I resigned myself to simply buy the Das Delphisches should I need another copy of my deck, but this is very welcome news. I can't wait for this to come out. :)
