You can see in the spread, there is an alternative card interpretation for those who will be celebrating the Winter Solstice on June 21st. RavenOfSummer Posted May 31, 2019 Author Share Posted May 31, 2019 To kick our discussions off- it's always a lot of fun to think about what deck you'll use for a 12-day reading like this! It's fun to think about what deck holds a summer (or winter!) energy for you. Of course tarot OR oracle is welcome in this group reading- we have no hard and fast rules! In the past some people have even worked with two different decks and drawn two cards for each day. For myself, I am torn between the Anieth Nature Tarot which has become a favorite of mine since I got it in the fall, and the Celtic Wisdom which I used last year and has a strong summer vibe to me. I will probably stick with tarot for this reading, although I can think of a couple of oracle decks I think would give great readings as well. Anyone else have thoughts on decks they might use? And, more generally, how is everyone's season going as we slowly progress from Beltane to Midsummer? For those who participated in last year's Sacred Days of Yule, are those energies still present for you? I actually want to look back at my Yule reading before we start this one. I’m not sure which deck to use yet - something to capture the lush green of the landscape here. Perhaps the Matthews’ Arthurian or the Sidhe... I've been having a very similar experience- I was working through the energies from Yule for a few months, then had a major shift at Beltane. I was thinking of borrowing my husband's DruidCraft, but I ended up getting a few new decks yesterday. Now I'm leaning towards The Llewellyn Tarot, though it's hard to say no to the other decks...
