Just setting the thread up ready.

Not sure when I’ll be able to post my reading as I’m on holiday and my connection to the forum is very intermittent!

Whereas I get home from holiday tomorrow and will be able to keep the flag flying for this week! I'm a bit behind now and didn't bring my SKT on vacation with me, so I'll be doing this week's forecast and all the rest of the necessary review work over the next few days.

Have a lovely holiday!

This week's forecast (a few days late, but at least it's here! I'm severely jet lagged today, so not even sure if I'm able to write something sensible 😂IMG_20190828_133903.thumb.jpg.a1505f030fadc208ba3d357caacc3a90.jpg

I realise I never posted up last week's forecast. The Angel was in position 1 last week, as well, so I know that my Guardian Angel remains with me this week, just as she was last week. Cooling down that which needs to be cooled, heating up that which needs to be warmed. In other words, my priorities are now in the correct place and I'm back in some kind of order. Thank you!

How to make manifest those priorities? The Eminence is a wonderful card, one I love in every deck, and here she's the picture of self-assurance. She knows her worth.  She won't settle for anything that's second-best, and neither should I. I'm in a good position, and I should celebrate that. I'll take my first response to this card as the overarching affirmation for the rest of the week: I know my own worth. It's a place of empowerment.

In the meantime, time to think about what I need to do to build a solid foundation. The Conservator is about careful placement of those building blocks, as well as holding on to the assets which will help me build a foundation, and then build upon it. What needs to be done this week which, whilst not looking like much, will in fact be the foundation stones for the future? The strategic part of my mind says to think in terms of short, medium and long-term plans: I've got a couple of 'strands' I'm working on: what I'll do for the next few months, what I'll do from January next year, and what my long-term aims are. Clarity around those three goal elements will help me prioritise my time accordingly. Spend time and energy on the long-term plans I need to seed; deal with the short-term in the way it deserves. That's pretty good advice to myself, actually, since I tend to spend a lot of time and energy worrying about upcoming events that are soon forgotten. Time to use my energy more efficiently.

My I Ching reading:  52 Listen to the wind. Such a lovely caption! The advice from the BoM is to quiet my heart and be calm. Remember that stillness is a form of movement.  Remember that it is natural for the heart to fluctuate and the mind to flutter, but exercise restraint and keep confined to a fixed position: the wind will carry an important omen to me.

This resonates very strongly! One of my favourite meditative techniques used to be to sit and listen to the silence. I haven't done that for a very long time. This is a lovely reminder to return to this practice.

New World Order - The Keeper - The Nocturne

There is an interesting mirroring in the New World Order with the Nocture - both have the overlapping circles as a key feature. It’s possible a fluctuation will bookend my week. As I’m on holiday, this makes sense. One marking the transition of travel - a literal ‘new world’ for me to explore. The second could represent the state of flux when I return home. The ships are a nice touch as I’m currently by the sea. Both cards speak of positive changes which are necessary and in my control.

The Keeper is a card of ancestral contact - where I am currently, there are many ancient monuments. It’s a ‘thin’ place - the layers of history feel accessible and it’s easy to feel a sense of kinship with the people who lived here.

Weekly Forecast Spread

1--2--3:

1 - What spirit will be most present this week?

2 - What is in my highest interest to make this week’s priority?

3 - What do I need to be mindful of and prepare for?

I Ching message: Earth (Five of Orbs) over Heaven (Three of Swords): 11 - Harmony, Balance.

You are reaching and going beyond yourself: this is progressive; this is good. You are willing to take risks for others, even if it might mean losing your own position. You negotiate a compromise and observe temperance. You won’t regret your decision. Act according to temperance and prosperity shall be attained. The intercourse of Heaven and Earth. Sacred unions: auspicious. At the end, yield to the natural course of cycles and changes.

Comments on the draw

These are the worst cards I've drawn so far. This doesn't really promise very well.

Certainly looks like a tough week from the cards but the I Ching is quite positive. The ‘yielding to the natural course’ phrase might be a good one to keep in mind.

I've, in fact, had a great week where I met an old friend I haven't seen for almost 30 years. And I've had a visit from my daughter and her boyfriend for several days. So, I haven't been able to spend enough time with SKT and 22-weeks. It feels a bit like "The Bereaved is sabotage after fruition" actually because a lot of the structure of the 22-weeks has been perfect for me. But during this week, I've had a bad conscience for doing so little with the 22-weeks. This first card I drew is the spirit of bereavement, and this is what I manage to relate it to.

Regarding being mindful of and prepare for: I guess that I'm a pretty weird guy, and being many days in the company of others without being able to do just what I want, causes me definitely to feel a little alienated 😂 No matter how much I enjoy other's company, after a while, I have the longing to be "free" to do what I want.

The Necromancer is the spirit of my imagination and the spirit of unseen influences. In my mind, Benebell's arrangement has been with me while I have been social. And, although I haven't followed most of the regular weekly schedule, I believe Benebell said in one of her videos that something is better than nothing.

Regarding the I Ching message: I actually was there more for others than myself this week #9. And, the natural course of cycles and changes were involved, @Flaxen  🙂
