The Sindarin Tarot ended up getting cancelled. I backed it mostly to keep an eye on it and get email updates because it seemed a little sketchy. I guess the first artist fell through, and then backers started contacting the new artist and it got out of hand from there. I don't think he was trying to scam people, but the creator was just overly optimistic and ambitious about the project. That said, he did delete his whole account...

I backed the Midnight City Tarot, my first in over a year I think, and I'm so excited about it. I love the colors in it and I love that big city energy it exudes. If only there was a similar LA inspired deck *wistful sigh*

I was kind of afraid that would happen. Ah well. Midnight City is a nice alternative!

You want class ?

THIS is the one to go for. Doctor Falke's "Tarot of the Drowning World"

Even I, who Do Not Back Decks From The US any more - have backed this and found a US pal to receive and mail it on.

I just backed this, even though I said I wasn't going to buy any more Tarot decks for the foreseeable future.....or back any.......le sigh......

Well it is a TdM3, and I can totally see this as a readable deck in a GT 4x5 (+2) reading in the future 😉

Just look at the colors!

Imagine these are all Majors:

Majors only 4x5 +2

(I can't tell which are the Majors yet, so...)

There's a video on the campaign page that takes you through all the majors VERY FAST. And the cards in the big image are in order.

Yep. I’m a sucker for artsy decks. And photography. I’m a photographer myself. And and and and....

So the Medieval Gothic Tarot has returned, now the Tuatha de Danaan Tarot:

Still looks quite lovely, still somewhat expensive. I hope she hits her goal this time!

Here's The Witches Tarot Deck. It's apparently the full deck version of his seemingly successful majors only deck. It's already been fully funded and hit stretch goals.

I've never been drawn to a photography deck before, but I love the editing on this one. It's fantastically dreamy.

For me the symbolism is to far off. The tower ,no tower.

The chariot , a witch doesnt have to fly a boom.but shes just floating there.

For me it would be an artsy  deck. I wouldn't be able to read with it.

Course suppose i got the deck first and read with it through practice and experience then i saw your waite, or thoth.. it would be the same scenario but in reverse

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I am always saying that I won't back any more US decks but then I see something...

I pacify myself by saying that I’m buying hardly anything on eBay nowadays, as I have got many of the decks I wanted, plus it's a dead loss nowadays - full of counterfeit copies. I'd rather help launch a new deck or three.

For those who liked the Tarot of the Unknown, the Beyond the Garden Wall deck which recently had its final print run, the artist has decided to do a new deck: a Gravity Falls deck.

Another project worth looking at is the Refine and Play Tarot:

Even if you don't like the look of playing card/tarot mash-up, hidden within the campaign is another deck called the Neutral Vibes Tarot (scroll down and you will see it). It's a beautiful rendition of the RWS in muted tones, almost like the forthcoming Vintage Tarot from Lo Scarabeo. And there are still early bird versions to snag! Personally, I hope that the campaign gets to the $24k level so that the creator also releases the Dark Rider deck stretch goal.

@fire cat pickles   Backed the Chromatic Fates Tarot. I'd stumbled upon images of it on Instagram and really liked the colors.

@Niobium  I'm waiting for the PNW Tarot, too. Love the color palette!

There are two other Kickstarters I'm interested in, one that's already launched and one that will launch:

The already-launched one is the Literary Tarot, featuring characters from various literary works, chosen by a multitude of famous authors from multiple genres (tarot-wise, I saw Rachel Pollack in the lineup).

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brinklit/the-literary-tarot

And the other one is an animal-based deck much like the PNW Tarot is this one, which has animals and sigils on the cards (launches June 24):

@midrena Isn't it lovely?? I can't wait.

I've backed Literary and Chromatic for the moment, but I may withdraw one of those and snag Likely instead. It depends on the art for Likely Tarot as a whole; I vastly prefer single-artist decks to collab. That said, Chromatic and Literary look a bit more consistent than most collab decks tend to.

@Niobium Oh, I see we're twins 🙂  I've also backed both the Literary and Chromatic, AND I'm thinking of perhaps withdrawing them both to get the Likely Tarot as well. You're right about collabs and consistencies, and how the Chromatic & Literary are more consistent than most. There are some cards in the Chromatic Tarot that I don't particularly like, and feel are not as nicely rendered as others.

If you're interested in seeing more cards, you can check the creator's instagram. Here's a link: https://www.instagram.com/likelytale.witch/

I've been loving the look of her cards! Like these:

A friend of mine loves her art but dislikes those sigils in the cards, so she's not sure she wants the deck even if she really likes the images/colors and has been looking for an animal deck for a while.
