  1. One more week with the Yggdrasil Norse Divination Cards for me. I didn't use them enough last week, but I'm committed that this week will be better for all the things. My goals are by Friday next week my house will be clean, the dogs will be clean with trimmed nails, I will be caught up on all my other things, and I will have done daily draws and written in my journal every day. We'll see how that goes. Today's draw - Need 1 EIR - (healing and medicine) That I need to also rest and not be too hard on myself about what I can and can't accomplish. That it might be more important to rest than stress myself out over my goals. Need 2 - FORNJOT (Temperence) Kind of echoing the above. Work on getting things done, but also take time to rest as well, and don't over do anything, rest or work, or indulge in too much food, or other things. Action - NJORD - (Economy) Don't spend all my energy in one place, do some here, and some there. So, basically this draw is telling me, don't worry so much about getting everything done this weekend, (which was my plan) it's okay to draw it out a bit and work on it a piece at a time, that the last couple weeks have been hard, and I need to also make sure I get the down time I need as well to refuel. Ugh I hate it when the cards are all reasonable about stuff like that, LOL.

  7. Whew, sorry to leave you all hanging - very busy work weekend and week! But I'm all caught up now. Mi-shell, I thought all of them looked interesting on the outside (heh), but I'm also drawn to the deck on the right. It intrigues me the most for some reason. I am hoping to manage a few more readings so I can move on, but I like the Stolen Child deck, it's going on my list.
  8. Back again for another week with the Stolen Child. I need a little more time with it, I think. I also think I'll be using it again.

  10. This is the no rules thread, so yes, it's okay to switch decks. Nothing is worse than being stuck with a deck all week you don't connect with!
  11. I'll be using the long-awaited Stolen Child Tarot this week. I will try to be better about checking this thread during the week and adding participants (sorry for the late add last week Madame Squee!) It's easy for me to forget during the busy work week, especially now I'm gaming again.

  13. Welcome lenne!!! Have fun, and thanks for joining us. So far the Rackham is just "meh", but we'll see how it goes - sometimes decks grow on me by the end of the week. For me it feels so far like just another art deck, as images so far don't quite go with the tarot card symbolism. I still like it, because of the art, but most time art decks leave me a little disappointed. But I'm willing to give it a chance.
  14. I hope you will still be able to pop in here from time to time AJ! This week I'll be using the Rackham Tarot. Arthur Rackham was one of the artists I put on a list of "artists you wish had tarot decks" on some old thread somewhere. I'm actually using a flap with Rackham's Little Mermaid illustration (from Baba Studios messenger bags with interchangeable front flaps - I have a LOT of flaps...)
  15. I rarely if ever buy more than one copy of a deck, unless it is a different edition that adds or changes something about the deck. Exceptions are the Aquarian Tarot as my original (bought in 1972, when I was 11) is too fragile to use anymore, the Gilded, which is my carry deck and it's very battered and distressed (I may be switching it out for the new one soon-ish) and as I said in my earlier post the Mary-El, which I bought 2 copies of the first edition (one I trimmed, one I didn't) and a copy of the 2nd edition - because it's the closest I'll come to 'the one' . I use the trimmed deck for my personal reading deck. I liked the Millennium Thoth, it was a decent alternative to the original.
