  1. Hi, I'm practicing yoga as well - tried different styles over the years - (started about 10 years ago), but still not settled on a particular practice. I just pick up up some class when I want to practice and looking for "the one and only" teacher, I guess I practice asana, pranayama and meditation. Yama and Niyama are important to me as well. This post is a great reminder, by the way, to go back to structured practice!
  2. @Flaxen they are sort of a two sides of the coin, actually. Different, but very similar There are a few Druids here, its very interesting. Can you please explain the theology in Druidism? Are there any deities involved? The wiki is quite confusing.
  3. @RavenOfSummer thank you for this beautiful and detailed response, it actually brought tears to my eyes. I'm sorry I'm writing back months later, I was away and got no emails from this forum and checked it out just today. My experience with paganism was quite the same - the moon, the season changes and that peculiar feeling for the veil... I'm sure you know what I'm talking about Last year I found the Solitary Practitioner by accident (but there are no accidents, are there?) and it was my start as well. I slowly developed my rituals, practices and offerings. I'm very happy that you found your path and acceptance. I'm still deep in the broom closet, except few people that know what I'm actually practicing (pagan pantheism), but it's amazing to see that pagans are out in the open now and there is an actual thirst for spirituality after centuries of oppression and materialism. And it's finally possible to find your tribe in places like this - this community is indeed wonderful!

    Are there any fellow pagans on this forum? Paganism played a huge part in my spirituality in the recent years, and it took a lot of courage to admit that I'm in fact a pagan. I was drawn to divine experience since I was a kid, but being raised in an atheist family I had no one to discuss these topics with. Even my craft didn't include any spiritual practices until I discovered some tarot youtubers (Kelly Ann Maddox in particular) talking about their deities. And then I start searching for my own... and it was a hell of a journey currently I'm working with northern pantheon, it all started when I was studying runes, especially with Odin and Loki.

  7. Mine is also shower related - after I get out, I'm wrapped in towel for hours before I switch to clothes. Where are the toga times? It must've been much more comfortable!

  9. Yeah, meat is really expensive where I live too. So I'm eating mostly fish and chicken as well. There are also inside parts that are packed with nutrients that most people don't buy and they are cheaper than fancy steaks. If your body is okay with it, I don't see why you shouldn't eat beans from time to time. It's not sugar after all My cheat meal is popcorn when I watch some show once a week.
  10. I'm losing weight as well, I never really watched what I eat - up until 25 I lost weight pretty easily, just cutting off calories. But after 30 it got much harder, especially with my eating habits. Plus, I had a very bad sugar addiction, and just cutting out sugar created never-ending cravings. What helped me eventually is paleo diet. If you're okay with meat and fish, this might be the healthiest way of losing weight. You never go hungry, because your meal is full with healthy fat and fat is actually eliminating sugar craving! I was shocked that I don't want any sugar anymore! The basics of paleo are - Avoid: Processed foods, sugar, soft drinks, grains, most dairy products, legumes, artificial sweeteners, vegetable oils, margarine and trans fats. Eat: Meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, healthy fats and oils. Me & my friend started paleo together and it gave us great results so far, totally changing our eating habits. Fats give you a lot of energy to exersize. The only (minor) downside to this diet is that you're required to spend some time in the kitchen, but if you enjoy cooking, there are tons of great paleo recipes.
  11. Really happy to find this forum and see so many active members! My name is Anastasia, I'm from Israel and Tarot and other esoteric topics are my passion since childhood. Mostly read for my self all my life (my friends and family wasn't excited about my strange hobbies )) but lately I came out of the broom closet, started to read for other people and meeting people with same interests. And it was life changing. The best part was finding the teachers of tarot system that is so logical and precise and fits me perfectly - the french system, which is based on the work of Papus (Gérard Encausse) and soon I'm finishing my studies and hope to start read professionally.
