  1. I am new here and I'm learning a lot with this hands-on project. What card am I?
  2. @McFaire - With the close-minded people I've come across, it's all the same to them... cards and witchcraft. Mostly it's the older generation but there are still devout Christians of any age, younger than me. I just don't bring it up.
  3. No, and they better not. I'm in America. The chances of being accepted are still minimal. Now, if you entered my room, you can clearly see the decks sitting on the bookshelf, and the alter (paraphernalia) by my window. Unfortunately, I still hide the more telling witchery before letting certain people enter.
  4. What a great idea! I've been thinking about my growth in the past 2 years, especially in the area of career. It would be insightful to know "where" it is on a spiritual/growth level that I'm at now and where I'm headed next. @ Starlight - I am not sure what you're looking for... and someone probably has better recommendations... but I know decks like H.P. Lovecraft Tarot (though probably too much now), The Necronomicon Tarot, Tarot of the Haunted House, Santa Muerte Tarot (or Oracle), and Wisdom of the House of Night Oracle are what come to mind as some dark decks.
  5. I am not sure if I have been tossed in yet, but I is here.
  6. No... but I have been thinking about replacing my Mystical Lenormand's box. It's starting to wear out and not hold the cards as well. I thought of keeping such decks in drawstring bags or just plastic boxes from Walmart. They have big ones and tiny plastic boxes there in their office supplies section. I think the bigger ones would do fine, it's just they'll take up more space and they may not hold smaller decks like my Mystical Lenormand in place. I don't mind as long as they fit for the most part. I thought of also making some from sturdy boxes that products come in from amazon that do have a magnet flap. *Sigh* Choices... ???
  7. It might be alerting you to vulnerability. The card could be suggesting that you are sensitive and that can work against you if you leave yourself unprotected or don't know how to cope. Moon is all about psychic energies and it can include psychic attack, being sensitive and vulnerable to vampires, toxic people, and situations. The moon's phases may affect you a lot, so watch them closely in relationship to how you respond to stressful and unexpected situations. Because wolves and crustaceans are typical to the scenery of this card in most decks, it might refer to natural instincts to protect or surround yourself with protection. For example, having familiars or literally, pets around to protect you. It could be you need to tap into that protective energy, either to protect yourself or for someone or something that needs protection. Let me know if this makes sense.
  8. I'm not sure.. I know it's odd answer for someone passionate about cards, but I would not know if I could live on the edge with persecution being imminent.
  9. The Borgias: The Hidden History by G.J. Meyer. Like some reviewers say, no, this is not like the HBO hit series. It can get hard to follow with all the feuds and vendettas going on, but it is enjoyable, and the author does have a dry sense of humor.

    Hi everyone

Hi Island... welcome to the forums! I don't have much Lenormand experience but I'm just learning at the moment still. I also started reading with my first deck in 1999! I hope you have a wonderful experience here. X/
  11. It was a little bit hard to find, but thank you! I found it under Profile/Summary/Actions tab and scrolled to the bottom. Just in case anyone is wondering!
