Tarot de Paris by J. Philip Thomas. Several editions were made, from different publishers (images uploaded here are from the 3rd edition Thomas published himself, after having numerous problems with prior publishers). 78-card deck. Images are montages made from photographs taken by Thomas of the architecture, momuments, and statues of Paris. Cards are quite oversized and may be hard to handle by people with small hands. Japanese edition here: tarotdeparis.com/shop-japan Original English editions are OOP, but may be available at used/discount bookstores and eBay.- 1 review

Silhouettes Tarot Creator: MASA September (MASA Kuzuki) Publisher: self-published (through Signorrino Studio) Year: 2013 The Silhouettes Tarot is a stunning, richly designed tarot deck published by MASA September in 2 separate limited editions, as well as a limited "negative" edition with inverted colors. He has since distanced himself from the deck, stating that he finds the deck a little too bleak (though his fans seem to disagree); he has no plans to print a 3rd edition and is instead focusing on his two newer decks, the Cucoloris and the Tarot Maregician. Available from: The artist has about 20 "defective" decks currently for sale on the studio website; this deck is otherwise out of print.-

Artist: Lacey Bryant Cards: 80 Print: 310gsm linen paper Purchase: www.moderneden.com The Slow Tarot is the result of a personal art project by gallery artist Lacey Bryant that spanned over six years—a long labor of love realized through the careful and methodical creation of an original work of art for every card in the tarot deck. The Slow Tarot deck features 80 full-color tarot cards printed on 310gsm linen paper. The cards have a slight texture which makes them both tactile, durable, and easy to shuffle. Included in each order is a dedicated guidebook produced by the artist specifically for this deck. The deck ships in a full-color 2 piece box, featuring an alternate version of 'The World'. Each suit in the deck is identified by a color, and the elements of fire, water, air, and earth are reflected in the colors chosen for the borders. The Aces have also received special treatment, and have been designed completely borderless. The back of every card is identical, and features a beautiful line drawing designed by Lacey. The deck was financed thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign. -

Creater/artist: Noel Arthur Heimpel Purchase where: noelheimpel.com Size of cards: 2.75"x4.75" (7x12 cm) Materials: 350gsm glossy cardstock with gilded edges Guidebook: 6"x9" and 126 pages, with black & white interiors The Numinous Tarot is a radical deck that strives to bring a variety of experiences to the wonderfully complex symbolism of the Tarot. Rendered in beautiful and luminous watercolor and inks, the Numinous Tarot shows the beauty of diversity in the world, from body type, ability, race, to gender identity and expression. These things are not used as symbols in and of themselves; rather, they are there to show the infinite ways that all people can experience magic and mystery, especially those who are often excluded from it. The deck is accompanied by a full-sized guidebook written for readers of all levels, including beginners. Both the guidebook and card titles use all gender-neutral language. The Numinous Tarot is a 79-card Tarot deck with fully illustrated pips and one extra card called The Numinous. The suits, court cards, and some of the Major Arcana have been renamed to fit the mystical theme of the deck and/or remove gendered titles and hierarchies. The suits of this deck are: Bells (Swords), Candles (Wands), Tomes (Pentacles), and Vials (Cups). The court cards are: Mystics (Kings), Creators (Queens), Explorers (Knights), and Dreamers (Pages) Current deck in the 2nd printing of another successful kickstarter campaign in 2019. First kickstarter campaign was in 2016. -
From the album: Collage Decks
Created by: Joseph Stretch Publication year: 2016 Deck size: 7 x 12 cm Printed on: 300gsm (smooth) card stock. Country of origin: United Kingdom Buy where: https://www.stretchtarot.com/ The Stretch Tarot was created by Joseph Stretch in 2016. Featuring collage artwork and vintage imagery altered using a wide variety of methods and mediums, its unique style is designed to help both new and experienced readers see the cards from a fresh perspective, illuminating traditional meanings in a new light. Following the conventional structure of the tarot, teachings and symbolism from the masters are brought together in a new aesthetic which is at once fresh and familiar. ‘The Stretch Tarot’ includes the full cast of tarot archetypes in a complete set of 78 cards, with a fully illustrated Major and Minor Arcana. Both artistic and practical, the deck is intended to aid in interpretation, enabling you to explore, celebrate, understand and foresee the details of our human experience. In response to feedback, ‘The Stretch Tarot’ evolved into a diverse deck, working to including people of colour and remove the traditional boundaries of gender, specifically in the court cards. Despite their ‘vintage’ appearance, the cards are designed to combine the old and new in a way that reflects the modern reader and our current world. The tarot has endured for centuries due to its ability to adapt to circumstance and context; ‘The Stretch Tarot’ is no exception to this. "The Stretch Tarot - Relaunch" was the second printing of the deck, a successful Kickstarter campaign.
