Is The Empress Garden Your Backyard? (Time to Pull Some Mental Weeds)

What does your subconscious look like right now?
If it’s healthy and thriving, it probably looks exactly like The Empress—lush, vibrant, and effortlessly creative. That beautiful backyard is the ultimate mental goal. But if you haven’t checked on it lately, it might look like a chaotic jungle of overgrown weeds and old anxieties.
That is where creative imagination comes in. It’s the process of grabbing a shovel, digging out the weeds, and reclaiming your yard. By bridging the gap between psychologist Carl Jung and Tarot master Paul Foster Case, you get the ultimate gardening manual for your soul.

Carl Jung: The Weed Puller (Bottom-Up)
Jung believed imagination was the raw language of our deepest mind—the collective unconscious.
• The Method: Active Imagination. You stop overthinking, let your mind "play," and invite your inner Shadow out to talk without judging it.
• The Goal: Finding the weeds. By facing the messy parts of your psyche, you yank them up by the roots so your inner soil can breathe.

Paul Foster Case: The Landscape Architect (Top-Down)
Once Jung helps you clear the dead weight, Case shows up with a blueprint to redesign the place. He mapped out how to reprogram the subconscious mind using three Tarot keys:
• The Magician (Conscious Mind): Your focused intent. He holds the shiny new seed you want to grow.
• The High Priestess (Subconscious Mind): The deep, mysterious memory-well. She is the rich, raw soil.
• The Empress (Creative Imagination): The cosmic womb. She takes all your old experiences, mashes them together, and grows them into a beautiful new reality.

The Ultimate Gardening Hack: The Two-Step Loop
Jung teaches us how to clear the yard; Case teaches us what to plant. They are a two-man backyard renovation crew! Next time you sit down with your deck, try this:
• The Jung Step (Weed Control): When you are faced with a situation that stirs your emotions and you feel you don’t like it, it's time to go deep inside and ask: "Why did I get this reaction?" You are finding and pulling the weeds.
• The Case Step (Replanting): Once the soil is clear, decide what you want to create. Meditate on it and hold a crystal-clear vision of your goal. Plant that seed deep into your subconscious, and let it grow.
"The rich fertility, calm peace, and ability to order your life aright... are your inalienable possessions." — Paul Foster Case

🙃 You can "replant" by designing a sigil alla Austin Osman Spare, representing your goal. This is a Chaos Magician technique - they believe everything is down to you reprogramming your subconscious belief.

(Creating a Sigil alla Spare method: write down your goal in one short affirmation. remove all the consonants from the affirmation. remove all the double vowels that remain. With the remaining vowels - use your creative imagination to draw a sigil using the shapes of those vowels. When you have arrived at a beautiful and interesting shape - this is your magickal Sigil. You can now put it under your pillow. Carry it in your pockets. Do a ritual with it.... etc. You don't have to remember over time what the Sigil represents. The shape will subconsciously wind it's way in and reprogram your core belief system).

If your goal - can be represented by a single Tarot card. You can decide to use that card instead (of designing a sigil from an affirmation).

I would work on making some-sort of Sigil or re-inspired emblem/simpler image of the card - so that you spend some conscious active creative time "working the idea into your subconscious mind".
