When i looked at the ship card and seeing it sail away instead of to the right or to the left. 

Would you read it as looking to the future?

 

The cross looks pretty plain

 

I like the rider as it appears he is posing

 

It says by marie lenormand..

I don't like that for obivously she didn't make it. 

So wonder who the artist was. 

 

I find the blue in the mountain hints at a waterfall?

It looks rather pure in it's illustrations' design, though, which I like. Do you, perchance, possess a link to the full gallery?

That's a Piatnik back...OMG, i think this IS that old version of the Piatnik!

I need this deck! We were just talking about it. 

 

 

2x3 is a nice size. Only slightly larger than a mini.

Yes. 
The current Piatnik might even be a third edition. I seem to recall seeing one that was line drawings and soft colors, like the older one, but the people were dressed in a later style. 1920's if I'm not mistaken. But I can't find the images any more.

I remember seeing a Piatnik with different Gentleman and Lady cards. I’m sure Malkiel had an earlier version of it.

Yes! And I might be conflating the decks, but I seem to recall a version where the woman was dressed similarly, but the medium was the same as the one that LS is reprinting.

It's surprising that no one has put together a website on historical Piatnik decks.
