I don´t understand, where shall I write my e-mail adress? So I shall not use my name Libra 58 anymore? I wont be anonymous anymore?

Libra, no worry you are still anonymous when you are on the site 🙂

If you ever log in to the site (and not logged in), the form before asked for username or email and a password. Now you must use your email to log in only for security reasons, not your username. When you have logged in, you will display as normal on the site, people will just see your member name only. Your email is private.

 

The only change is when you log in, you must use your account email address but then your username will be all that people see.

Most sites use this system or are switching to this system already :thumbsup:

I guess with automatic logins I didn't realize this change had occurred.

Had to switch computers to one I hadn't used for accessing here and a problem developed.

I try logging in using the email address this forum uses plus my saved password and get the invalid email or password . . .

Since I am soon going to be on a new computer, I would like to sort this out, please.

Hi,

 

I'm a lifetime member who hasn't been  to the forum in quite a while.  I have tried a few times in the past to log in but have not been able to.  Obviously I forget my email and/or password.

 

Please let me know how to get back in.

I have tried again  and again to get the confirmation email sent so that I  can post and reply to the tarot forums... it never sends anything.  Is there any other way?  My email is [hidden]

Can you MANUALLY send that email to me?

Does this have anything to do with the email I just got? It said I had logged in from an unknown device yesterday or today. And that if this was actually me, just ignore the email. Thing is, it's the same device I've always used, it's my desktop. Why did that email generate?

It's fine 😀. You get an email when you log in from a "new device". If you clear your browser of cookies, it will think it's a new device. Also sometimes I have a browser update or windows update and it thinks it's a new device when next logging in. So "new device" has quite a broad definition according to the forum security 🙂 .  As long as you were actually logging in at the time Morwenna, it's no worry.

 

You can turn off the emails under "recently used devices", you need to re-enter your password to enter that area. We recommend having them on because it's a good security measure. I think only worry if you were not logging in at that time or it's from another country to yours 😄

There is no such email under my members list.

Please place screen names as your guest name so I can look into things, otherwise I can't do much! 🙂
