I asked his permission to share this.

As you can see it is really up to you if you incorporate them or not.

Yes, that is the thing with all decks having Extra cards. They do not necessarily belong to the original GT, and it is up to the reader how to use them.

And the text for accessibility:

I often see posts on this group that include images of spreads using the Gilded Reverie Lenormand deck, that include the extra cards. Often the responding comments question the validity of these cards and how they are not really Lenormand.

For the record, when I designed the extra cards they were not intended to be an integral part of a GT or any other spread for that matter. As explained in the companion material, they were intended for addition emphasis or context ….. if that was required…. an individual readers choice. And examples were provided of what they were meant to signify and how they might be used.

With that said, I have heard of many different ways people have incorporated these cards, and if that works for them, I think that’s great. I also made it clear that another option for these cards is to ignore them, dismiss them as irrelevant because they don’t adhere to tradition you are familiar with and you will have the remaining 36 cards that is the core GT

just to add to this thread, there are two past threads where we discuss the Lenormand extra cards and one with Ciro commenting....

Some of the insights in those threads might help people who use the extra cards 🙂
