Here's my Monday moon day!

Looks like I'll only get to sniff the Tarot of the Abyss this week as Wordery took a week to ship it 🙄. That's okay though, I probably would have neglected the Everyday Enchantment if it came earlier. I love the EE but it's so frustrating to shuffle.

Get a good whiff!  😺  It will still be there for another week!

Here are my readings for today, daily and full moon:

Get to know my deck Spread by Mary Greer

What do I most need to be aware of:

1. An area of focus, general atmosphere or the overall energy at play.

Ace of Coins

Pulling a cart with a huge coin, and an empty card, a fool is heading along a path forward, however, he is looking back as though he is leaving something he is emotionally attached to behind him. The land around him is hilly, uneven and rocky. The scenery reveals mountains, full trees as well as a dead one.

Hauling around all of my treasured possessions, my past life experiences, I am moving forward and just around the bend is a whole new world of experiences before me. Say my “good byes” and start looking forward to receive my biggest blessings. Pick the cart with the lightest load to carry.

2. This is the part of myself that is most active and of which I need to be most aware.

Knight of Swords
A fool, aback his trusty donkey, happily arrives at the castle entrance holding his sword straight up to heaven. The scenic background shows the mountains, hills and a smaller castle or community. Is this whence he came?

My mind and intellect are active and thriving. I am feeding my mind with new knowledge, thoughts, and perspectives. Moving forward by following my heart’s desires is bringing me opportunities that are joyful; moving me to the door I’ve been aiming for: happiness.

3. This is the situation that the part of myself (Court Card above) is concerned with today.

Three of Cups

Three women adorned in fool’s caps, holding cups, are standing in the street just outside a wooden door. Behind them is a moat with a bridge to the castle entrance. The women appear to be friends.

Today I am meeting with my friend and my goddaughter at a bakery for lunch. I haven’t spent a lot of time with them over the past 8 years or so, I see the fool in the Ace of Pentacles looking back and think about this being a past relationship rekindled and this brings me much joy. I am seeking fun and happiness in community.

4. This shows why I need to be aware.

The Stars

A fool attempts to point out the night sky to a gentleman, feeling uncertain or curious. There are twelve stars shining and four large birds flying. The scenery is of uneven terrain, his, trees, and a watchtower.

The Star card for me is about navigation and following my heart, moving in the direction where my inner-star is intended to shine. Why I need to be aware and alert is because what I focus on today is what shows up in my future. Being alert to my experiences, emotions, thoughts and feelings will assist me in moving closer to living the life I was born to live.

Numerology: 21 = The Sun

That's a really big coin!

Here's mine for today!

Last one for this week!  I'm really enjoying Raggydoll's moon day spreads because I don't have to wrack my brain trying to think up a question!

The Everyday Enchantment and I still haven't clicked quite yet but I think our moment will come eventually. I would definitely recommend it though, as long as you have big hands or don't mind a trimming job 😄.

Right? A lot of baggage can slow us down - interesting message for an Ace, IMO.

I knew there was a reason I had passed on this deck previously - the card size! Thank you for this reminder.

Deck of the Week 12/7/22

A situation presents itself that allows me to recognize and release old baggage and start on a new journey, to do things a different way.

2. This is the part of myself that is most active and of which I need to be most aware.

Page of Staves

A well-dressed fool carrying a stave is blowing a hunting horn which causes a ruckus amongst the animals. There are two bunnies and a dog trying to decide which bunny to chase. They are standing on a path with brush and trees on either side. Mountains appear close by. This fool seems a bit self-confident and self-centered. He wants to share his message and be heard regardless of how the environment around him responds.

Today, although well intentioned, I will receive a message that causes upheaval.

3. This is the situation that the part of myself (Court Card above) is concerned with today.

Five of Staves

Two fools and two dandies, carrying staves, were clearly at odds with one another as they all rush upon what appear to be two clergymen or dignitaries standing outside a building. Are they approaching for help in concluding their disagreement or are they all ganged together to attack the two men? Either way, the scene shows chaos in the street.

I believe the five of Staves or Wands can be a card that indicates a championing of skills, not necessarily enemies, discord, or challenges that are from a negative place, but friends and loved ones that are helping you get better, to improve your stance and your skills to get even stronger in your position or, to conclude that it wasn’t all you really thought it was and refocus your passion. The emotional upheaval caused by the Page’s noisy communication appears to have caused even more chaos as now a group are turning to two bystanders for their guidance.

4. This shows why I need to be aware.
Judgment

A fool dressed in a long robe appears to be running to the right of the card while looking back to the left upper corner - almost disjointedly so. He has his right hand raised covering his eyes as he looks above into the sky, to see a devil, left side, and an angel, right side, floating on clouds in the sky above him. There appears to be rays of light coming down over the fool. Falling all around him are locusts and frogs. In the background on the right side of the card is a little community and on the left are a few trees and bushes. The fool has traveled over several hills and valleys to get to this height.

The plagues of frogs and locusts are the ‘let my people go’ judgement in the Book of Moses against the Pharaoh. As a child I remember the t.v. shows with the Devil on one shoulder and the angel on the other - what decision will you make? Who will you listen to and what side will you be on? In the guidebook these figures are Moses and Samuel looking down upon the foolish Pharaoh. Judgement of some kind will be present today.

Earlier I received a message from my granddaughter that her mother (my daughter) described something I had done at a family dinner earlier in the week as ‘controlling and not allowing my husband to feel capable’. I found this both interesting and extremely hurtful. My daughter has every right to conclude that, in her opinion, my actions were controlling, however, under what circumstances would she ever need to tell my granddaughters this? And to have them tell me that I should listen to their mom because they want my husband to feel that he can do it, as sweet as my granddaughters are, wasn’t helpful. Alongside the Five of Staves, where there is clearly emotional upset, and seeking of support - which I definitely did when I returned home later in the day. Interesting to see these two cards, both passionate and fiery staves, together representing chaos and mayhem followed by the Judgement card also showing chaos and mayhem with the frogs and locusts raining down from heaven.

A message received today caused me emotional chaos which made me feel judged. Due to my baggage, I took it quite personally, however, I have the opportunity to receive the value of the message, to learn from it, and to detach from the old beliefs of not being liked by my family. I choose to take a healthier route.

Numerology: 8 = Justice in this deck

What a day!
