Buying tarot decks?

Featured Replies

Where can I buy tarot decks?

I know I can get them on Amazon, but trying to find other online stores.

https://tarotgarden.com/  I search under ‘Tarot and Oracle decks’ at least once a month on https:// www.kickstarter.com/

Go to etsy.com and search under Tarot and Oracle decks.

I've moved this thread to the Tarot Decks section which is the best place to pose such a question

Depending on where you live, there may be local stores (or at least, stores that are located in your country) which will save you on shipping.

yeah if you have a local store near you, they always need our support and business and will be able to advise you in person.

Also sometimes there are local tarot stores online which do nice deals and you are support small businesses. Amazon tends to be the best price but look out for small esoteric bookshops and shops near you and online.

Some decks are self published online and you buy from their own website / etsy page / crowdfunder as well

If you live near a Barnes & Noble Bookstore, they usually have a section they either label as "New Age" or "Personal Development"  Some stores have more of a selection than others.  In the past I've found even smaller bookstores will carry a few decks.

Books-A-Million is another brick-and-mortar establishment,  if you live in the US. They have really good selections.

FYI Alert for consideration when buying decks from any location, be sure they are legit decks. Sadly, many locations online (Amazon, Etsy and eBay included) and smaller brick and mortar shops, there are counterfeit decks being sold.

If you're not bothered about buying used decks (I'm certainly not!) you can sometimes get decks that are long out of print on eBay for reasonable prices.  I try not to buy used decks if the decks are still in print, though, because the creators don't get the money for them ...only the sellers. But that's me; I'm like that with books, too.

You can certainly get lots of new decks on eBay as well.  However, it's also possible to get landed with plagiarised/cheapo fake ones there ...so be careful.

Second hand decks are very useful if you want to practice modifying the decks.

In addition to all the good suggestions/recommendations here:

- Indie artists often sell their decks on their personal websites or Etsy; I always prioritize buying direct from them since it really helps them out and encourages more amazing art

- Facebook has several deck trading/buying communities, most of which are decently run. This is a good place to find decks second-hand

- Tevada is a good site for purchasing decks which are from overseas, especially Korea, Japan, and Thailand
