Commemorative edition back -- petal symbolism?

Greetings.  I acquired this edition of the deck. Does the flower on the back of the card have any meaning according to Pixie or RW?

According to Waite, that is the Mystic Rose and it represents Life. He describes the true essence of the Death card as ‘ascent in the spirit’ (PKT).

In alchemy, I believe it represents purity that comes when something dies in order to be reborn.

The fool has the white rose too (“spirit in search of experience”). It is the pure essence of life/spirit.

Just as an aside, that is a Tudor Rose that is curiously stripped of its red hue. It was generally considered a symbol of unity and harmony, being the emblem of the Tudor dynasty that succeeded the internecine wars of the red-rose Lancasters and the white-rose Yorks of medieval England. Since the Tudors sprung from both dynasties via the betrothal of the descendants of Lancastrian Beauforts and Yorkist kings, they united the rose insignia of both to create the rose-within-a-rose emblem.

The Tudor rose is also included as part of the Roses and Lilies backs of the Pam A that preceded the crackle-backed Pam A released in 1909-10 during the RWS's nascence. Curiously, the roses and lilies symbolism also hearkens to the duality of passion and purity, respectively, which contrasts with the Tudor rose's interpretation in Arcanum XIII.
