KingOfPents Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 Hi all, I've been looking for new ways to integrate Lenormand into my daily routine. Daily readings have become a bit lackluster as I work from home and will likely have the exact same day over and over again until April or May when the warm weather comes. However, I have been binge-watching a few shows at night (The Bear and Ted Lasso) and I actually bring my cards with me to the couch. I do a reading in between episodes to see what's coming up in the next episode and have had great success. Just wanted to pass the idea along to anyone trying to learn Lenormand or exercise their cards.

It's also a good way to get practice on many different topics, for instance court room/police dramas will hone your legal readings, medical shows for health readings, soap operas for life's dramas and relationship readings (these are also good for practicing advice readings). The sky's the limit! It's more rewarding that doing daily reads because you get a fast turn return on feedback, without having to wait for your day/week to pan out. When I first learnt TdM I did a reading on a game show asking which contestant was going to get booted off next, there were 4 iirc. I got 3 court cards which matched the contestants genders, in order, and Death as the last card. The contestant that was last in the row got booted off... 😆 Edited January 18, 2024 by akiva
DanielJUK Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 I like a murder mystery. book, film or tv show. I haven't really done it with a true-crime podcast or TV series yet. But I like murder mystery self-contained episode, for example Murder She Wrote. Get the introduction to all the characters and the crime happens, then I try and read whodunnit! It's lots of fun 🙂

One of these weekends when the weather is miserable and I have some movie time, I will give that a whirl.
joy Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 Sounds like fun seems I will have to start watching more TV again 🤪
Rose Lalonde Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 I actually looked in clubs and the readings section recently to see if there was a group place for this sort of practice reading. Like a Lenormand book club or something. I enjoy seeing what I get right, what I get wrong, and what was shown in the cards but I mistakenly thought was a loyal friend when it was a literal dog. But it would be tricky to do a group with everyone watching/reading/gaming different things, and only someone who's watching what you are would understand what you're reading about.

This would be a good idea! Maybe a true crime/unsolved mysteries lenormand reading club? The participants could take it in turns picking a story that's read on, and then compare readings/interpretations/ideas. That way the readings are on the same topic or story and it minimises confusion... Just a thought 😉 Might be better to do solved crimes/mysteries so there's feed back?
Rose Lalonde Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 That would get everyone on the same page. I have to admit that I prefer fictional crime/mysteries. I find it depressing to read about actual crimes, so I probably wouldn't jump on that. But it would work for all who are interested, so a good idea.

Yeah true crime can get quite depressing! 😅 It was just something that popped into my head. Another idea could be to have someone watch a TV show, make a quick summary of the plot or important moment in the story line and have others read on the topic. Then provide feedback to the participants. That way the genre could be to the individuals taste and there's still an answer to the reading provided. For example, say you watched a show where a wife and husband don't get along and end up going their seperate ways, only to reunite later on. You could say: I watched a show about a man and a woman, tell me what happened between them. Then reveal what happened after the readings were done 😊
Aqua Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 love all the idea... I begin tired when exercising reading from my friend and wait them for feedback.
KingOfPents Posted January 20, 2024 Author Posted January 20, 2024 I've finally caught up on the second season of The Bear and Lenormand was so accurate. I think I'm going to start another series soon to keep my reading skills up to par. It's been immensely helpful. I've been able to deduce that I read the cards linearly instead of using the following cards as descriptors. I was bending my brain too much trying to do that.
