How do I erase a reply?

Featured Replies

I tried to quote a post on Music and Tarot (under TT&T) but it had a link with picture in it, and I tried to delete that part but couldn't. So I just added my short comment and tried to post it anyway but it wouldn't send. I tried the things on the bar right over the reply field but to no avail; now the content doesn't show but I still can't send. If I go out of the thread and come back, once I hit that reply field it is still dead to me. What do I do now? Thank you.

Hi there,

Was it this thread? Give a Tarot Card A Song! ?

I don't think it posted as it's not on the thread and cannot see any other musical thread related posts from you

If you go to the bottom of that thread, it might reappear in the posting box as a draft. The forum does try to hang on to what you try to post. If your previous post comes back there, there is a black draft info box on the bottom, if you press "clear editor" on the bar, it will delete everything to start fresh. You can also select and cut the text you want to keep and then delete everything else in the box and then paste the text you want again.

Sometimes the cache (the temporary stored data on webpages from browsers) corrupts and you need to refresh it. If it doesn't load the reply box probably this can be a sign of this. I get it from time to time. If it's not loading the box properly at all, try to force refresh the stored cache for that thread page to get a fresh new version of the page.

on the thread page....

on a Windows computer, press Ctrl and F5 at the same time

in Safari, hold Shift and click the Refresh icon at the top at the same time

if you are using a mobile device, press the refresh on top menu bar, Some mobile devices also let you pull down from the top to refresh the page.

If this still doesn't work, you are going to need to clear your temporarily files and history. If none of the above works, let me know what system you browse on and I can give you instructions.

Sometimes drafting a post goes wrong or corrupts, it sorts out in the end 🙂
