I wanted to "share" a post in the reiki and healing section with someone I thought might be interested - but where you can usually choose report or share, only report comes up. Is this a glitch, or can one actually not share posts in some forums ?

For some bizarre reason, the update absolutely borked thread sharing 🤷.

I've noticed some areas do have it back, it seems to be random. It's on in this area. I share threads all the time and so really notice this but will try and get that fixed.

If you right-click on the time and date of a post, you always get a link but it's not as clean and easy.

Leave it with me, we will try and get it working again. It's one of those things you realise is so useful around the place 😃

I've gone through every single forum and sub-forum and they all have sharing on.

Can you link the threads having the issues for investigation?

The one I first noted yesterday was the adverse reactions to reiki thread in Reiki and healing. I looked at a couple of others in that subforum and they don't have it either.

You can use the workaround Dan mentioned - but still.

So Sharing is still enabled on those subforums, which is weird.

There are others, as Danial has pointed out. I think everything in the Reiki and healing forum, for instance. Every thread in Fun and Games that I've checked. Actually I suspect everything in the subscribers areas

Alright, from what I am gathering, it appears that any section that you have to be a member of the forum to see will NOT have the share option available.

This makes sense, as the share button's main focus is for sharing content on social media.

For sharing with other members, the right-click and copy link on the date of the forum is the best and easiest way to go about things. :)

The share option is extremely useful HERE; I would never share anything from any forum on social media. I would have liked to link a post from the identify game to another subscriber for help; I also wanted to show a post from the reiki thread to another subscriber. But - whatever, I guess.
