Image Linking How-To

Featured Replies

Did you know you can post inline images in your posts? Here's how:

As an alternative to attachments, you are able to link to images hosted elsewhere. AND it is pretty easy! Here's how:

Click the insert image icon, the one that looks like the tiny Mona Lisa:

If you have WYSIWYG turned off once you click the icon the image tag pictured below will be pasted into your post window. Paste your image URL within the two tags.

If you have WYSIWYG turned on once you click the icon the window below will pop up. Paste your image URL in the box.

How do I insert an image from Artist Website, Social Media site or Blog

There are many sites and they have different ways of managing their content so this may take some experimentation on your part to work. The first thing you should try is a simple right click on the image, and selecting copy image location.

Please be sure to remember to credit the artist, unless of course you are asking for a deck identification.

How do I insert an image from my Imgur or Flickr account?

It's super easy! Select the image from your library, and on the right you will see a menu of share options. You want to copy the URL for BBCode. You can even select the size you want to share. Screenshot below is from Imgur but Flickr is the same.

My image is HUGE! How do I make it smaller?

This might be a little tricky, depending on how comforatable you are with formatting.

First you need to be sure WYSIWYG is turned off. If you cannot see your img tags, click the arrow at the end of your tool set.

Instead of this:

You want to insert width and height values. It's important to use format exactly as shown below:

You will probably need to play around with the numbers to get the results you want.

Here is the result:
