ReginaFaythe Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 I am part of a tarot challenge group on facebook, and a bunch of people were posting their tarot decks. Someone posted the vivid Journey's Strength card, and I had such a strong emotional reaction to it. I started crying. Even now when I see it, I can feel tears in my eyes. It hits something in my inner child that rips me open and leaves me raw. I ordered it today, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I feel like this deck with be incredibly helpful in my healing journey.
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 good morning Regina, welcome. I wonder what the tannish-brown tendrils coming into the scene from the left signify. Any ideas?
EmpyreanKnight Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Tannish brown tendril? Are you talking about the lion's tail?
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 maybe it is tail. my eyes are not to be trusted, thanks for the clarification! I've had cards in deck touch me deeply, I understand what you mean
PageOfCups Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 I wonder if the creator(s) and/or artist of this deck are cat owners? There's some "cat language" going on in this interpretation of the Strength card: When a cat has their tail up, it's saying that it's pleased—especially when it wags just the tip of it's tail. (When it sways/trashes the entire tail from top-to-bottom, that's entirely different story!)The lion is on its back. When a cat lays on their back and shows you their belly, it's telling you that it trusts you (as a cat's belly is their vulnerable spot, it's saying that they trust you won't hurt them even if you show them their belly—sometimes they'll even let you rub their belly if they like you enough). It appears to be a modernised, more animal-friendly version of the Strength card. More animal-lover vibe, less "wild beast" wrangler/tamer. Cool. I've had cards in deck touch me deeply, I understand what you mean I had a reaction with the 3 of Swords (as well as the 4 of Swords) in the Everyday Witch Tarot. It made my heart sink in all the right ways, it invoked in me a sense of "hygge". The rest of the deck felt too 'saccharine' to me, but I ordered the deck anyway. It's grown on me overtime (I like how there's a cat in almost every single card along with some dragons). Never literally cried upon seeing a card, though.
ReginaFaythe Posted June 17, 2018 Author Posted June 17, 2018 Never literally cried upon seeing a card, though. Yes, it was very unexpected! I'm not usually a person who cries easily, but I've been doing a lot of work, emotionally, and I think everything's just a little raw at the moment.
