Arch Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 ------------------------------------------- What is your take on spirituality? ------------------------------------------- Spirituality to me is the path that our spirit takes, or the path that our spirit wants us to take. What then is spirit to me? Spirit is the core light that guides me. It is everything viewed as good in life and the path that light naturally points towards. The nature of ones spirit is different from person to person, it is also different from society to society. Even ages have their own spirit, reflected in the saying "spirit of our times". Like materialism in the west, a spirit that denies its own spiritual nature. People who have spirits that are attuned to the spirit of their age, are therefore in control of the age, and influences the societies living in the age, in both subtle and direct ways. Hence the people attuned to the spirit of their time can unfold their spirituality by just being normal, while people who are not attuned to the spirit of their age, will have to find room for it covertly. They need to have a part of their life that is abnormal, sometimes so abnormal that the society they live in persecutes them, if they are lucky they will only get mocked for standing out. Hence my spirituality is me trying to assert my spirit in the face of the spirit of our time. I'm trying to be me despite mockery, despite resistence and despite my fears. Fortunately I will not be burned for my spiritual path in this age and society. Only mocked as being unscientific, living a lie, playing with the devil etc etc Although the age is slowly changing, and my path seem to be more and more accepted. A fish will struggle on land unless it finds a pond, and a man will struggle in the ocean, unless he finds a small island. Tarot is one of the small islands I've discovered, I visit it now and again when I need a leg up from all the swimming.
