About me. This is my first deck, which I learned thru a companion app. So I don't have much experience. But i hope the review and pictures help anyway.

 

About the creator. The Golden Thread Tarot by Labyrinthos was created by a girl named Tina Gong. She is very creative and productive. She is also very sweet and kind, exhibited through emails.

 

About the deck. The deck uses minimalistic line pictures printed with gold foil onto a card made of sleek, black, matte, plastic. Each card is about 4.75 inches by 2.75 inches in size. And the whole deck is a little under an inch thick. It also comes with a black cardboard case with gold foil printing. The deck contains the traditional number of cards (78) and naming conventions of RWS. The artwork contains girls, boys, and hybrids. Some of the girls and boys are nude.

 

About the deck interview. While shuffling the deck for the first time in preparation for an interview, the Ace of Swords popped out twice! Here are my questions and the deck's responses:

 

Question 1: Tell me about yourself, what is your most important characteristic?

 

I am a passionate Knight of Wands (Reversed), not afraid to gallop away from conformity (the next card) in order to explore and widen my horizons (like the page of my suit) as well as to share my adventures and sacred flame with the world.

 

Question 2: What are your strengths as a deck?

 

The simplicity of my art and symbols give me the strength to easily transmit the traditions and sacred knowledge of tarot to my disciples. I am the hierophant.

 

Question 3: What are your limits as a deck?

 

My strength gives rise to my weakness. My messages are conservative and frugal. However, they are a stable foundation for building up the practice of tarot, while leaving much open for imagination and intuition as these abilities develop. I am the Four of Pentacles.

 

Okay the next three questions are kind of personal. Feel free to skip them.  ;)  For those who may want additional insight into the personality of this deck though, here they are:

 

Question 4: What are you here to teach me?

 

I am going to lead you to your refuge and home, the Four of Wands, an internal temple of perpetual celebration, stability, and growth that will also transform your outer world into a cathedral of harmonious relationships and community. The cross on top of this cathedral bears a prophesy that you will touch the spiritual lives of others and become a beacon of light for those wandering in the darkness of fear and confusion.

 

Question 5: How can I best learn and collaborate with you?

 

Embody the energy found on your birth card--Strength. Focus your mind to hear me in the emptiness.  Cultivate inner strength each day as you wake up and set forth to helping others. I know this is scary for you. You will need bravery and compassion. If you share your light, your message is never wrong.

 

Question 6: What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?

 

You will stand upon my frugality (the card above, #3) and perceive with the clear mindedness of the Queen of Swords (Reversed), cutting easily through confusion, duality, and diversion with the double-edged sword of truth and realization. In time, we will master our energies and subtly bring them to others. All who seek you will find a pure and welcome mind. Much later, you will build upon this foundation to create a most wondrous and complex structure.

 

About overall impressions. This deck is beautiful and nurturing like the Queen of Cups, wise and inspiring like the King of Swords, deep and mysterious like the High Priestess, yet simple and innocent like the Fool. It's also shiny and reflects the happiness of the Sun!

I wanted to have this deck since it was published. Unfortunately it is an Indie deck and is not meant to be distributed by major publishing networks. I talked to the published because they don't have shipping to my country and there is no way to get it here :(

Yes, as I said, I talked to the creator she said she can't do anything about it. She is not delivering to my country.

Can you then get it sent to a friend in a country she DOES deliver to and your friend can mail it on ? (but NOT someone in the UK as the customs charges are terrifying...)

I'd rather have this deck on an online store for Indie decks somewhere in EU so that I can order it from there. I know a few websites but they don't have anything from Labirynth.

I don't think she allows anyone else to sell them. But you could see if Littlered has any way to get stock.
