Intermitent capitilization in threads titles? Help please

Featured Replies

Just started 22 threads in the Arthurian Hallowquest section - but the capitalization in my titles is spotty - even though I typed them all correctly.

Is this some odd thing I've done, or some odd thing the forum has done? It's not consistent, which is the bit that's foxing me? Any help appreciated.

Many thanks

PathWalker

I noticed this, too, in my Minchiate Study Group threads... A bit annoying. Not sure anything can be done about it, though.

It looks as though it is trying to avoid "incorrect" double caps at the beginning of words. You could try lower case instead, for card numbers ? I can't test, as I don't want to start a thread to do so.... Well, OK- I might....

No  it's not just that - I have used capital letters in the written titles - the words off the cards - so I wrote The Spiral Tower and it comes out as the spiral tower.  But earlier in the sequence of threads it wrote them correctly.

It is the intermittent nature of the fault that's bugging me!

Not even just intermittent - changeable ! WEIRD !

That happened when I tried to spell "Earth" with a capital E on my 8-year astrology thread. Haha.

I swore I wrote it with a capital E.

Now I know I was right. LOL.

Ok, so I know you don't want the ability for us to have ALL CAPS IN THREAD TITLES and have this disabled, but couldn't we just have a rule that this isn't allowed unless necessary? We're all grownups here...

There are times where we actually need consecutive CAPS in titles, such as with XVIII. Moon, for instance. Sorry if this issue has been visited before. I'm not even sure if it can be changed with this software.

It just bugs me a tiny bit 🙂

As a moderator yourself, you know members don’t always read the rules.  Little Fang has a vision for TT&M, one of elegance and taste.  Instead of using Roman Numerals, go on ahead and use actual numbers.  They might work better in a title anyway. 😉

As stated prior, I've added exceptions to the Roman numerals in the plugin.

And everything Saturn said. Thank you

UM now I cannot call my thread ISG....
