Barleywine Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 I've never much liked the one-card daily draw because it implies that a single type of activity will prevail for an entire 24-hour period. For me, it fails to portray the opportunity for "change-over-time" unless we "intuit" it from the card's inherent nature. I've been seeking a model that can show shifts in the querent's "energy pattern" that may occur over the span of a day. Here is a link to my latest effort: https://parsifalswheeldivination.com/2020/03/05/the-diurnal-footprint-daily-draw-spread/
Starlight Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 I really like this, @Barleywine. Do a draw the evening before and look at how the day will unfold from morning till night. It could be very useful for days where there are particularly important things going on.

Yes, although I didn't say so I was thinking about doing it the night before. If there is something specific on the agenda for the next day, you could pick a subject-matter significator to put in the center as the focus card, or just randomly draw one. The reading could show how things are likely to "play out" with it.
53rdspirit Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 @Barleywine, you have many good and interesting thoughts. I'm very fond of card spreads and I'll have to try this one (in addition to the New Moon spread, when that time rolls around). I awake before the birds so I may choose to begin the spread with my morning coffee by candlelight. Thanks!
Barleywine Posted March 18, 2020 Author Posted March 18, 2020 Here is a test reading I did with this spread. I think it's going to be useful. https://parsifalswheeldivination.com/2020/03/18/a-diurnal-footprint-example-reading/
