How thrilling to receive four new Tarot decks when my husband opened his suitcase last night upon return from his trip to the U.S..  Here in Bali, it can be a long wait — up to a year, before I find someone willing to transport a deck home to me.  I love doing a welcome ritual and a deck interview upon receiving a new deck.  Today we have the Universal Celtic Tarot created by Floreana Nativo; illustrated by Cristina Scagliotti.  This deck is published by Lo Scarabeo.

This deck attracted me for several reasons.  First and foremost for me, it is aesthetically pleasing.  I like the artwork and the use of color.  It adheres to the traditional deck structure of 78 cards and is a RWS clone.  I like to have a  number of decks like this for when I am working with a group and each person receives their own deck to play with.  Keep it simple.

1.      XVI The Devil:  I am here to bring liberation and enlightenment.  I am a mirror that can help someone see themselves with new eyes.  ‘Here is what is holding me back.’  ‘I don’t want to look at this, but here it is right in front of me.’  ‘I know that this is true.  I just haven’t wanted to deal with it.’  I give a Seeker the clarity and the motivation to make a change — to let go of an activity or a relationship that has been keeping them chained and stuck.  I can be a scary kind of teacher, but I am hard to ignore.  I’m unforgettable when you encounter me.

2.    V  The Hierophant:  I adhere strongly to well established traditional pathways of Tarot play.  My centeredness and purity of spirit allows me to be a channel for Divine information.  The world is full of abundance and magic.  I live to teach and to guide.  I shine a bright, clear light.  My vision is unsullied and sure.  I am reliable and trustworthy.  I am here for a higher purpose.

3.    6 of Pentacles:  I am not the most accessible of decks for people who are wrestling with poverty consciousness.  Patience for people who are stuck in working on mundane matters or repeatedly making the same mistakes are  not my strong points.  My messages are most available for people who already have a strong sense of worthiness.

4.    Person of Swords:  People who are action oriented with a strong sense of ethics and the desire to make the world a better place will find me a willing ally.  We are here on mission.  I like to right wrongs and stand up for righteousness.  I am here to give voice to the voiceless.  My messages and guidance can activate people into moving forward in a strong, purpose filled direction.

5.    9 of Swords:  You will find me to be particularly helpful for dream interpretation.  Certain dreams will call out for my clear interpretation and guidance.  Spiritual Guidance Teams and Teams of Light can communicate through me to share valuable information to help people to fulfill their mission work.

6.    XXI:  I am a steadfast companion in assisting you in your work of creating a new world.  Remain strong and steadfast in your forward movement.  Maintain a strong vision of the world that is to be.  Keep your grasp on oneness consciousness.  I and all of the natural world are here to support you.
