I was delighted to discover, while watching one of Ethony’s videos, that there is an actual Aura-Soma deck.  I have the book The Aura-Soma Sourcebook.  Color is everything for me.  This has been a great reference book for understanding the spiritual significance of color.  I was aware of the Tarot correspondences.  

Now I have the deck — I chose an older version that has pictures of the bottle with the 1-2 colors that correspond to each Tarot card.  I also purchased the iPhone App.

A curious thing about this deck is that it includes two sets of Major Arcana cards.  One represents the Piscean age.  The other represents the Age of Aquarius.  Preferring always to put the most possible positive response on my readings, I am initially opting to use the more highly evolved Age of Aquarius set.  The other extra cards (110 cards in the total deck) are rubber banded and set aside.  Most of these represent Archangels.  I like to keep things simple and plan to use this primarily as a Tarot deck.  I like the art and the colors.

The correspondence to the Aura-Soma meanings will add an additional dimension to my readings.  The new Aura-Soma New Aeon Tarot is written by Mike Booth and illustrated by Pamela Matthews.

First impression:  All cards drawn are Major Arcana cards except for Question No. 3.  This may be a ‘heavy hitter’ deck.

1.  Welcome to my temple, to my home, and to my mission work.  How do you describe yourself?  THE UNIVERSE

My unconditional love and unconditional self-acceptance support the feminine in all humans.  These qualities enable you to bravely step into the world with love as pioneers for freedom and secret agents for truth.  Open your hearts and step into the waters of life.

Many of us may consider the ‘World’ card to be the best card in the Tarot deck.  I love that it appears here as the self descriptor for this deck.  She, the Aura-Soma deck is all about love and openness.  She brings self knowledge to help us to get in touch with our true purpose and mission work.

2.  What are your strengths?  TEMPERANCE

One strength is that I can inspire strong and intuitive feminine leadership to engage with and triumph over difficult situations.  The world can be a scary place right now.  A new style of leadership is needed — one that is cooperative rather than competitive.  I also support further inner child work and can inspire Seekers to get in touch with right livelihood.

3.  What are your challenges or limitations as a deck?  7 of Swords ‘Orion & Angelica’

The Aura-Soma deck does not strongly support the resolution of imbalances due to family issues like alienation from or rejection of birth family; sibling rivalry; or insufficient parental love.

4.  What is your favorite type of reading?  THE SUN

I love to activate people into service towards others by radiating clarity regarding one’s true purpose.  I help you to connect with your own feelings and to develop empathy for others.  My light can infuse you with infectious joy, enthusiasm, and a deep inner peace.  I am all about personal growth and positivity.

5.  Advice for strengthening and enjoying our relationship together.  THE MOON

The Archangel Raphael is standing by.  He is able to reach up and bring down the reflected feminine intuitive energy of the moon.  This can afford me the opportunity to take communication that I receive and experience profound insight that comes from a higher level.  To receive this benefit I am being encouraged to develop greater personal discipline in the use of my allotted time here and to dissolve any feelings of frustration or resentment that I sometimes feel.

6.  What lesson are you here to share with me right now?  THE HANGED MAN

The Hanged Man affirms that I have successfully moved through an initiatory phase.  Sacrifices have been made.  The need to view life from a different perspective and to live in a state of suspended animation has passed.  Now there is an emergence out into the light as a full participant in the world.  By finding love and compassion within, I can now bring these into daily life.  I can access an ancient wisdom that has been awakened within.  Sharing this wisdom brings immense joy and the sense that anything is possible.
