I think it's so cool that two decks I love because of how cute and understated they are and who leave a lot to the imagination turned out to be based on one of the few decks I've seen where the only ambiguity is often the overwhelming amount of information given. Learning "dominion" is the card title of the two of wands from the Son and Moon and it's decan from the Thoth - where Aries indisputably enjoys hanging out in Mars - helps me understand the man from the Two of Wands in the Tarot Nova who's getting  his head knocked off.

I've never thought about the Thoth influence in the Tarot Nova, but you have a point!

 

The Emperor as a boot makes sense to me.  Authority is all in putting your foot down, after all 😉
