RavenOfSummer Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Here's another one I've been meaning to share: http://www.tarotoftheabyss.com/ It's by the same artist as the Oracle of Echoes and the forthcoming Bonestone and Earthflesh Tarot. This one is a black and white deck, all done in pen and ink drawings. I love the fine lines. Black and white decks usually don't grab me as much, but this one intrigues me.

I saw a few images on IG awhile back and started following Ana (lunasolare1) - thanks for reminding me that this will be out there one day.... xo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Delizt Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Tarot of the Abyss!!!! Stunning....thanks for pointing it out,
ana luisa Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Definitely buying the Tarot of the Abyss !! :D The minute I saw the Ace of cups, I was hooked. Nowhere have I seen such a perfect depiction of this card. Besides, it's in B&W (a have a thing for non-colored decks anyway :)) Gotta start putting some $ aside for it. :)
FLizarraga Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 I have, and LOVE, her exquisite Clair De Lune Lenormand. Her Oracle of Echoes looks appealing, and I admire her Hidden Waters Tarot, though it's not my cup of tea. The Abyss and the Bonestone and EarthFlesh decks, however, seem to have my name all over them... :P

I agree, both of these forthcoming decks look beautiful.
Trogon Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Yep. Definitely going on my wish-list! This is a beautiful deck! Thanks so much for bringing it to my attention.
RavenOfSummer Posted August 16, 2018 Author Posted August 16, 2018 Following the progress of this deck...I love that Ana Tourian has created two versions of the 3 of Swords, both of which will be included in the deck. You should be able to see them both on this page.
gregory Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Some of the faces are slightly Mary-El.... Hierophant, Hermit ? Very lovely art. I like it MUCH better than her Hidden Waters.
Flaxen Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 This is progressing beautifully. So many powerful images and I love that it is black and white.
Thoughtful Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 If l were to invest in a black and white tarot, this would be it. It is so beautifully haunting and well executed. Is it available yet?
RavenOfSummer Posted December 7, 2018 Author Posted December 7, 2018 Ana has announced that this deck, which originally she had been planning to publish independently, has been picked up by US Games. Good news, although I'm worried it means we'll have to wait longer for it! I know she was originally hoping to start pre-sales in January. I'm guessing now we'll have to wait until later in 2019 or maybe even 2020? She has made amazing progress on the deck though! She's most of the way through the suit of Wands, and after that she only has Pentacles left. All cards can be seen here: https://www.tarotoftheabyss.com/major-arcana If l were to invest in a black and white tarot, this would be it. It is so beautifully haunting and well executed. Is it available yet? Sorry I missed your question before, Thoughtful! I think the release date is up in the air now that the deck has been picked up by a publisher. If I see any news, I'll share here!
Grandma Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 This beautiful deck has just gone on my wish list, where it joins, to my surprise, a deck by the same artist, The Hidden Waters Tarot. The surprise is because the art styles are so different and equally brilliant. I think I'll add the Bonestone and Earthflesh Tarot to the list as well. It's also fantastic in still another style. Then I'll have all her tarot decks! (And my wishlist is perpetually short because nothing stays on it for long! Most decks move in a matter of months, or when they become available, to the list of decks I own.) And RavenOfSummer, isn't it interesting that a reading that I did for you a while ago centered on looking into the Abyss - not that that's an uncommon theme, but still...
Akuanduba Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 Loved the way she pull us into some images and make us part of it like in the 3 and 10 of cups. Also we are hanged in the hanged one. Also liked a lot the 6 and 7 of cups. I'm not such a fan of her Justice though. Still, a gorgeous deck that went right into my wishlist. I have her Clair de Lune Lenormand and love it! I missed the Bonestone and Earthflesh because was short on money unfortunately. (And my wishlist is perpetually short because nothing stays on it for long! Oh I envy you (in a good way). I'm the opposite lol :P

I'm fascinated by that as well! Not only is she wonderfully talented, but she is capable of so many diverse styles. And yes! I've actually been meaning to share something with you related to that reading, just a small thing- I have to see if the thread is still open to post in, otherwise will send it to you by PM :) Loved the way she pull us into some images and make us part of it like in the 3 and 10 of cups. I've put it in my Etsy cart before, but always stop myself. I have runes and an I Ching deck that I still need to work on learning so it seems silly to add yet another system I don't know how to use. But...but...that deck.... :'( ETA I wonder if she would ever do a tarot or oracle deck in the style of the Claire de Lune. She seems to like doing each deck in a different style. Worth asking though, maybe I will message her and see what she says.

Tbh, I'm quite new to tarot and wanted to learn more before I started to learn others systems, but when I saw this deck couldn't stop myself from buying it lol. So I started to learn Lenormand too hehe. Ended up buying other decks also, like the lovely Anna K lenormand. It has been fun, I think that is a bit easier to start learning lenormand than tarot. At least to understand the basics of it. And it's very straightforward when you have mundane questions. I also want to learn runes someday. ^-^ Good idea, I'll ask her too. Maybe if she sees that there are people interested, she will do it. I would love a tarot deck in this style.
RavenOfSummer Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 Ana has completed the suit of Wands! Only Pentacles to go 8)
Nemia Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 This is an old thread but there seems to be no newer thread devoted to this beautiful deck! It's my newest addition to my modest collection, and I'm totally in love with it. It's sensitive, rich, intelligent and I'll use it for personal readings. I didn't even do a deck interview with it, it's so new. How do owners of this deck feels it reads? I'm very excited to have it and wanted to share 🙂

I find Ana quite charming and really wanted to support her after the Bonestone and Earthflesh project. How are you enjoying it so far? I’d like hearing your thoughts on the deck quality, images, readability, etc.
Bodhiseed Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 (edited) I don't usually go for black and white decks, but each card has a lot of thought behind the art, in my opinion. It was perhaps one of the best impulse buys I've made. 😊 I've got several posts on my blog with them: https://bythesycamoretree.blogspot.com/2021/08/relationship-with-power.html?m=0 Edited November 6, 2022 by Bodhiseed

RunningWild Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 I quite like the deck. It has an intimate feel to it in a way that so many decks don't for me. Benebal Wen has a review of it on her blog that offers some further insight. I believe she knows the artist. I'd offer up the url if I wasn't trying to do this on the phone so perhaps someone else can provide it? Or, you could just use a search engine.
