Perenelle Posted March 21, 2021 Author Posted March 21, 2021 One more word for the night. Alongside of the deck I've been putting together a soundtrack, yes, 78 songs, 1 for each card. So far the list has the Majors completed and I'm now about halfway through the Minors. I'll be including the song titles in each entry.

After about 15 minutes of trying this was the best I could do to capture the merest puff of smoke! One thing I found out is that I have to put the mountain behind the tower or the smoke won't show up at all. This backflow incense doesn't. Ha. The Japanese did a better job. I gotta find a better brand of incense! Oh and if anyone is worried about fire safety, don't, haha. I stuffed the tower full of aluminum foil and put the incense tile on top. Just had to make sure that it didn't touch the sides. Oh and yeah I found my background, hehe. Edited March 21, 2021 by Perenelle
Perenelle Posted March 22, 2021 Author Posted March 22, 2021 Well I tried to make that shield and botched it. Plus I put down my gold leaf and now I can't find it. May have to use this other stuff I don't like as well. Hopefully a little rest will straighten me out.

After doing what I need to do on the computer that is of course, haha. And I'll make the little figures for The Tower and then I'll have another one to finish on the computer! Finally underway folks!

I'm happier with the writing for the other deck - this one will need a lot of changes - but I wrote up all 22 Majors and I'll be adjusting, then proceeding with the Minors. Lots of work, looking forward to doing this!

Just wanted to stop by and say that I'm working on my other deck until it's completed. I'm hoping it will begin to offset the cost of this project, I love it but it's burning multiple holes in my pockets! If the Relic gets published it would help greatly. I'll be back around as the spirit moves me (our little crown thief stole the finished crown gemstones and all, have to finish the original). I have text to share however, and will be back with that. However I have some news on the creation front for this one! I located some really lovely patterns for figures both 1/6 and 1/12 figures, they will help me immensely! Going through the Modrone now, seeing where I can adapt some ideas and where I need to come up with original stuff. I have plenty of gorgeous fabrics! I'll be finishing The Empress, WoF, Temperance and The Sun quite soon. I have stuff for them coming in the mail. Meanwhile I'll dig out some text to post later or tomorrow. Ciao again!

Perenelle Posted April 26, 2021 Author Posted April 26, 2021 (edited) So I've been examining the Butterick pattern and it will have to be heavily adapted, it's pretty but not at all historically accurate, haha. I'm still waiting for it to actually arrive (I've been studying the pictures of it on Etsy). I've found little variation in the dresses in the actual Modrone (and Visconti in general), so I'm trying to vary it a bit without straying too far from the actual imagery. Oh, and just to add fuel to the fire, haha, I'm going to follow the Visconti complete Tarrochi deck idea and have Faith, Hope, and Charity, and male and female Pages and Knights (Handmaidens and Ladies) for a full deck of 89 cards! Wish me luck! (It'll sure take long enough! Haha!) Oh and the 1/12 Fortuna is humming along nicely! Edited April 26, 2021 by Perenelle

Perenelle Posted May 1, 2021 Author Posted May 1, 2021 Here's Fortuna! This one took a few days, I actually think that at this scale using the machine wouldn't be practical, very tiny stitching! And wouldn't you know, can't find my signs of the zodiac cabochons. Ugh. I'll keep looking. I had wanted a complete card but this is just taking a very long time.

I want to start a Kickstarter campaign for this as it's already cost hundreds of dollars and I live on SSI. It's been close to 2 decades in the making so far and I really want it to be finished. One thing about me: I know my ideas are good because I've had them stolen. More than once. It's true. Long story, but I'm aiming to finally profit from my own work! Be back soon with the Empress which is nearly ready, just need to finish the crown (version 2.0 haha).

On the picture above, you’d risk losing details and the text would be too close to the edge. I’m not sure what format you are aiming for but if you haven’t thought about those things then I recommend that you decide on it now when you are beginning to finalize each card. It will save you time later 🙂

Like I said, where it's white willl be metallic gold. Plus I'm changing the format anyway, there is going to be something special about this deck which I can't advertise but I've done all the necessary research, trust me. Now can you see the borders?
