Just stumbled across this deck... the White Sage Tarot by Theresa Hutch. It's beautifully painted in watercolours and has a nice, simple feel to it. The animals are just beautiful.  Does anyone here have it?  <3

There's also a beautiful new oracle, but I'll mention that one over in the Oracles section  ;)

Just want to say thank you to whomever merged my topic into this thread that already existed. I am so sorry! I did use the search feature prior to creating the thread, but no other thread came up in the results.  Did I search it incorrectly? Anyway, thanks again! :)  and back to the topic haha  <3

I have it and have featured it briefly in our moon-related group readings. It is a sweet deck but I have not used it enough to give a thorough review. What I will say is that I find the choices for chakra correlations interesting but I wish she would have made her choice more visible and obvious in all her cards. There are only some of them that carry colors related to their chakra, others (especially the majors and court cards) are almost impossible to guess. There is, by the way, a nice review on YouTube regarding the chakras and this deck, if that is something you’re interested in.

The deck is intended to be a very soft and friendly alternative that could work even for those that are extra sensitive and might be going through tough times - or perhaps as an alternative for younger querents. So I think it is a lovely concept with beautiful depictions, but I am not 100% convinced that everything works as perfect as intended. It has (in my opinion) some minor issues that seem to prevent me from wanting to delve into it. But I have not given up on it since it is such a lovely deck and the artwork really speaks to me. It’s just the deck as a whole.. not entirely sure it can deliver what I hoped it would (mainly as far as chakras go)

Thank you so much Raggydoll[/member] for sharing your thoughts on this.  :) I did look at the PDF on her website and noticed the chakras at the top, but I was confused as to why they were there, since the few cards I saw didn't really jump out at me as being labeled a certain chakra.  I thought I was missing something LOL.  I will go check out that youtube review that you suggested.  The artwork speaks to me as well, but I was wondering if the deck really 'worked' if that makes sense.

Thanks again! <3

She used colored ribbons on the minors to show which chakra they correlate to, but she used non-typical shades for some of them (for instance her ‘red’ is more pink). So there are some potential issues with this deck that could impact how well it would work as a whole.

I've got to stop looking at the recent topics bar on the left here!  I'm not supposed to be buying decks right now, as I have so many I don't use(time for a sale).  This deck seems to have many aspects that attract me, first I was attracted to the name!  The watercolor artwork which I love, thin whippy cards from what I can see in the video review I'm watching, the simplicity of the images which encourages a more intuitive thought provoking view for me, the overall aesthetic, backs, size, two piece box......

*sigh*  Yep, I'm ordering this one.  Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I think.....  ;)

. . . first I was attracted to the name!

It seems like its name White Sage refers to two things. The first of course is the herb that one uses in cleansing rituals. The second is the deck's additional major that portrays a snowy owl. Owls have been used to symbolize wisdom, and with its milky plumage, it does indeed suggest a white sage.

Ohh, I see! Thank you for explaining.  :)

When you get it, do let us know what you think of it.  That Owl though (the White Sage) is breathtaking. I can't say no to owls :D

I think that extra owl card was a limited edition feature, my deck did not have it (I bought from Little red tarot).

I think you'll only get the snowy owl/white sage card if you buy directly from their website/online store.

Yeah, that makes sense! But with me being from Europe means I would not have ordered it from the states anyhow. I am so very grateful for Little red tarot!

Hello all,

I'm new to this discussion and this lovely community. It is always fascinating to see what people think (both good and bad) about my work!

If you have a specific question about my White Sage Tarot deck feel free to let me know and I'll try my best to answer.

A quick fun-fact: I got my husband pussy willows for Valentines Day and then painted them along with the pink ribbon that came with them. Once it was painted, it told me "looks like wands in a tarot deck." So the Ace of Wands (create spark) Sparked the making of this deck!

I decided to keep the style and palette similar to my year in Japan which is why the 1st chakra is pink instead of red. I chose to limit the amount of red and black in the deck as a whole.  <3 <3 <3

Hey there!  Welcome to the forum!  <3

I'm hoping to pick up this deck soon, it's gorgeous, and I especially love that AE gods were incorporated!

Edit: Grabbed one just now.  ;D

What a treat to have you here with us! I am currently working more intensely on bonding with your deck and this time I did decide to take the chakra associations a bit out of focus for me. And this is helping me to connect better right now. I believe I might have been overthinking it and not letting my intuition guide me as much as I usually do. Anyways, thank you so much for sharing this with us  <3

<3 Yes, that is the bonus print from my online shop! Little Red Tarot is an amazing shop to work with in the UK!

Changing the color red to pink was a difficult decision. I wanted this deck to reflect the influences of Japan on me. Most of the deck has very little red and black (the exceptions to this are the Egyptian based cards) to soften and lighten the feel of the deck.

I love the pink, but I'm very biased towards that color.

I just got my tin set and it's amazing!  It's the perfect size for travel, and of course I made use of the little sage in order to cleanse it.  Thank you so much!
