ShadowMoon Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 (edited) First impressions: Cunning! Looking at you through narrowed eyes… gauging you. What jumps out & its meaning to me: His white fur patch actually makes a heart shape. This fox seems approachable. His tail is relaxed (non-threatening). But see his paws? He’s ready to walk towards me; this to me says he’s not afraid either. His ears are pointed, ready to listen. He’s an observer and a learner. What does it remind me of? Reminds me of the first time I met my dog Pluto. He’s a rescue baby. Was severely wounded when found by the rescuers. I adopted him and picked him up directly from the vets. He was growling, but as I got closer and pet him, I realized he was shivering. He was just so scared! But his stance was almost saying, approach with caution, exactly like this fox. Story behind the scene: He seems to be out and about, exploring his surroundings. He found a spot under a tree to just relax for a bit. He’s not threatening in any way. This fox is an adolescent, not a young cub. He’s aware, I want to say sneaky. The spot he has chosen to relax, it’s a hiding spot. If anyone comes to drink water from the pond behind him, he can see… he’s got a good view that side too… this one is a smarty pants. How does it make me feel? I think he’s trying to intimidate me. It’s not working, but he’s trying. I don’t think he trusts anyone easily. But he won’t harm unnecessarily either. He makes me want to comfort him and reassure him that I come in peace.
