VGimlet Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 Last week with the Tarot of Transformation. I really liked the Angelarium Oracle, and I'm going to use it again. Not your traditional angels, which is probably why I like them. :P VGimlet - Tarot of Transformation.
EmpyreanKnight Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 EmpyreanKnight - Wild Unknown Tarot + Tarocchi Sola Busca + Les Vampires Oracle Gotta finish all my circle exchanges this time.
Madame Squee Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Harmonious Tarot and Jean Noblet TDM Thank you for the thread, VG!
Trogon Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 My new Bonefire Tarot and new copy of the Albano-Waite deck arrived yesterday! So ... those will be the decks I'll be working with over the next few weeks. ;D Trogon - Bonefire Tarot and Albano-Waite Tarot
Trogon Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Harmonious Tarot and Jean Noblet TDM Thank you for the thread, VG! That Harmonious Tarot is beautiful! I hadn't seen it before. It seems a lovely, soft kind of Tarot. I could see that being very good for readings where some gentleness is needed.
Bodhiseed Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Wayfarer Tarot paired with the Curious Oracle for me; thank you VG!
Page of Ghosts Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 The Wild Unknown and the Sasuraibito for me this week. Page of Ghosts - Wild Unknown & Sasuraibito Tarot
jema Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 If I try to just pick a deck I end up pulling out every single one and still not happy. So Random org it is! I edited down my list to just 170 now (cause i know i would never use some, like alcohol tarot and the food fortunes and really tiny novelt decks)
Rose Lalonde Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Another week of Asherah for me. Things are picking up at work again, so I won't try to add in the I Ching this time. Rose Lalonde - Asherah Tarot Thanks, VG!
Carojulie Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Hello, hello, Thanks VG for the thread ! Can you sign me in once again for the Bohemian Gothic tarot ? I am determined to keep this deck until the end of november, at least. I just wish I had more time to devote to it, and to read through the threads here ! Alas, free time is rare right now..... Thanks ! Carojulie - Bohemian Gothic tarot
Trogon Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 So, one thing I've noticed with the Bonefire Tarot is that the cards are extremely stiff, making them hard to shuffle. My cards have already suffered some damage to the edges from shuffling. :( But I remembered an alternative method of shuffling (rather than riffle or faro) and that is working good. (You can read a bit more here; https://www.thetarotforum.com/tarot-decks/bonefire-tarot/.) The Albano-Waite is an excellent deck and, fortunately, does not have the card stock issues my Mom's old 1968 copy had. Those old cards were on pretty flimsy stock, and the edges still had these tiny nibs from being punched out from the sheets after printing. But it's good to have a working copy of the deck my mother bought way back then ...
Bodhiseed Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 This week I'll be using the self-published Wayfarer Tarot, created by Stacy Salpietro-Babb with Margaret Shipman. I'll also be drawing from A Curious Oracle, self-published and created by Holly DeFount. Today's draws are Six of Air (Swords) and 'The Torch:' These birds appear to be migrating to a nearby island. Their flight reminds me of the huge flocks of blackbirds that come to the southern U.S. in autumn. Over farmlands and neighborhoods, hundreds of birds can be seen in the sky undulating like a black ribbon fluttering in the breeze. Because they are unlike geese who fly in a V formation and honk loudly to each other on the wing, researchers have been puzzled as to how blackbirds are able to stay so closely together. Thanks to high-speed imaging and algorithms, scientists discovered that each bird keeps track only of its six neighbors and coordinates its movements with them. That fact made me question how many thoughts I am consciously aware that I'm thinking. Could I tell you the last six thoughts I had? It's doubtful. But if I could (meaning paying more attention), I might be more willing to migrate from them to more wholesome and beneficial thoughts if necessary. The Torch has been given the keyword 'intentions,' which is like a map of how to move in the direction of one's aspirations during any given moment. Meditation teacher Phillip Moffitt explains it much better than I can: Setting intention, at least according to Buddhist teachings, is quite different than goal making. It is not oriented toward a future outcome. Instead, it is a path or practice that is focused on how you are "being" in the present moment. Your attention is on the everpresent "now" in the constantly changing flow of life. You set your intentions based on understanding what matters most to you and make a commitment to align your worldly actions with your inner values.
EmpyreanKnight Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Just read with all three of my DOTWs and I'm bushed. I posted a daily draw, a weekly spread, and two circle exchanges. Just one oracle exchange and I'm good for the day. So glad that I was productive today. ;D
