Which decks that are going to be published next year have you already included in your to-buy list? Here are mine, along with their estimated release months:

1. Magical Dogs Tarot (September)

2. Game of Thrones Tarot (March)

3. Tarot de Maria Celia (?)

4. Vampirella Tarot (January)

And for oracles:

1. The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit (March)

I may have missed some lol. So what are yours? Include 2018 indie decks if you wish. :)

Hmmmm... tempted by Game of Thrones.

Hoping that the Healing Lenormand by Christopher Butler may appear next year.

I put that on preorder a few days ago.  Aside from that, there isn't anything I want unless I can get it cheap!

True Black Tarot!! ;D Unfortunately though, I have to wait until December for that one. At least I have on of the prototype cards to keep me company until then. I just hope delivery doesn't get delayed at all!

I'm not too good at keeping up with either indie or major publisher decks so I just have my eye on the Maria de Celia for next year :)

I have to admit that the True Black Tarot is beginning to grow on me. I might just get a copy when it does become available via direct purchase.

I think right now my wishlist is all indie decks - the True Black, Numinous, and Next World tarots. There are a few WiP decks I'm coveting, but I don't know that they'll be out in 2018. I don't know of any traditionally published decks coming next year that I'm excited about (unless Paulina Cassidy's Phantasma Tarot is finished and published next year, which I will snatch up sight unseen because it's Paulina Cassidy.)

The big one for me is the US Games release of the Urban Tarot. I decided I liked the deck just as the independent version sold out, so I’m glad for this second chance!

The other publisher ones would be both of Siolo Thompson’s new decks. There’s of course the Otherkin Tarot I’m excited for and also the Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle in June, which I didn’t get the indie version of because I didn’t like how they were flashcards (decks with meanings on the back are a pet peeve of mine). Hopefully Llewellyn’s cardstock will be better than their stock for the Linestrider was.

As for indie decks, pretty much just the Numinous (February) right now. I believe the Next World Tarot is going to be shipped just before the year is out. (Nov 25 is the current estimate)

Hi Siavahda! Do you already have Cassidy's Spiritsong Tarot?

Alas I do not, but only because I'm waiting for my next pay check to come in first!

There was no "growing" for me lol when  I first saw the images he put on AT they hit me full in the face and I couldn't look away. It was the first time I had come across tarot artwork that needed little explaining, and I was hooked right form that first moment! :D

You can now get preorders on his website. I'm pretty sure they are cheaper than it will be when finally released too

I would so love to, TheFeeLion. I'm from Asia tho, and I use a source/agent that imports decks and books from the US to my country without any hassle (from customs, the postal service, etc), for a fee of course. Unfortunately, they don't take pre-orders due to the uncertainty and risk, so I can only direct them to purchase items that are readily available from any seller that can ship the items to their warehouse at a reasonable amount of time. So yeah, no kickstarters or pre-orders for yours truly. :(

Oh I just remembered the Dust II Onyx Tarot by Courtney Alexander!

Tecnically the 1st edition is out this year - shipping out in mid-December - and those who backed the kickstarter should have it soon, but she also mentioned a 2nd edition next year. I really like the collage and painting-tecnique used for this deck, the gold accents and a lot of work went into a full size guidebook! I think it has a lot to offer and a unique take on the cards. I wonder if Beth at Little Red Tarot will stock it for easier access for us in Europe. I like to bide my time and read reviews so I hope it fullfills all the expectations for those who backed it and soon have their paws on it ;D

I was going to back that one, but then I had to tighten my purse strings for awhile and I didn't.

Good to know it will be available!

I have my eye on the Everyday Enchantment Tarot by Poppy Palin. Right now her website says early 2018 - -  and I hope that is true!

They're doing a fortune telling deck in the tradition of the Little Czech Oracle Deck and Ziguener Wahrsagekarten type cards. It will be made up of tinted Victorian photographs and utterly STUNNING. There will also be a book with instructions and tons of pictures of historical decks, tracing their development and written by Karen herself.

I've always been curious about other divinatory systems, but a Central European fortune telling deck? If the companion book/let is going to be highly detailed, then count me in. Not because I'm a fan of hand-holding when I'm studying decks, but because of the local nature of the system, further info on it might prove very scarce.

This could very well be ny first Baba, katrinka.

It will be a whole book, AFAIK. What with the reading technique and history, there's plenty of fodder for writing.

In earlier Baba days, I passed things up. (Cats in little outfits? Really? Nope nope nope at the time.)

I thought it was just more hypercute, shallow theme Tarot stuff.

Then a friend gifted me with the Fantastic Menagerie. And I saw a wicked, wicked sense of humor behind it, and some sharp intellect - not just Grandville's, but Karen and Alex's, the way they fitted it to Tarot.

After that, they had my attention. And with every deck I got, every companion book written by Karen, I've been more impressed. The woman is erudite, well-travelled, and has a passion for the mystical - without falling into new age credulity.

I tend to stick with older Tarot writings - Crowley, Wirth, et. al., but Karen's stuff is on the shelf with those. Yeah - the Alice right alongside The Book of Thoth.

Give it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

And the decks are lush, the finest european printing, excellent quality.

I totally agree, Katrinka. I'm working my way through the Fairytale deck and book, and I am so impressed with how she has not only come up with interesting tales to illustrate the cards, but how her spin on the stories and the cards really adds a lot to my understanding.

Thank you so much!  Somehow I missed this... will check the links you posted.

The Baba decks I have (and I have every one tho not every edition of every deck) are the treasures of my tarot collection.

Adding the Haunted House Tarot by Sasha Graham to my must-buy list. There's no way I'm not getting myself a copy when it gets released.
