Hi everybody !

I'm too excited to show you my own tarot : the Arcanya Tarot ! Maybe someone on this forum already heard about it !? 😃

Like a said in my presentation topic, I'm crazy about Tarot AND role playing games, espacially about Fantasy.

And I'm just simply... crazy, too. 😅
So when I started to create the first illustrations, I had the idea the create a whole entire universe, with an Emperor, a Magician, a real godess called "Justice", etc...
I wrote a novel about an amazing story about all these characters ! This took me a more than a year.

I took more than 2 years to study tarot, all the symbols in each arcana, and in several languages, especially the Tarot de Marseille and the RWS.
In the same time, I tried to find a way to do mostly shadow work with my tarot, to trigger deep emotional feelings with a dark world, pretty desperate.
I think for most people, it's easier to see a holly light and keep the right direction when you're watching a good immersive movie or reading a great book, than when it comes to your own life.

Now, my tarot is almost finished and it'll soon be printed, but I dont wanna do adverstising here, just want your tarot-lovers' opinion 😁

And with a friend, we did a real map of this world :

Oh, and the most amazing : I'm currently working about a real deep  original sountrack for the world of Arcanya, so it will have it's own musical intense and deep mood !!! Yeah, I told you I'm crazy XD !! But so excited ! 🤪🤪🤪

I already want to start 3 or 4 other projects ! If possible, still in 2021 ! In the same universe ! 😃

I'll show you more pics tomorrow maybe, when I'll have more time !

Have a great day everyone !! Blessed be !

I like the artwork for the enlightened (xx) best. I find the font hard to read on several cards, though, especially the knight (?) of something I can't make out. What went into your decision to change suit names and some major arcana names?

Beautiful, Sebastien. You’re extremely talented. I love The Enlightened and Knight of Stones.

Thank to you two !!
Its very kind to show interest for this topic ! Thanks ! 👍

About the questions :
- The names are not so readable because the cards are smaller than the real size. 🙂
- I renamed the Suit because I wanted to insist on 2 things : the 4 elements and a feeling of nostalgy, and a bit sadness... I think that helps to increase the "peotic mood" of the athmosphere.
Thats what I choose the Rain for the Cups (Water), the Ashes for the Wands (Fire), the Wind for the Swords (Air) and the Stones for Pentacles (Earth).

Here is the whole suit of Wind, just the Knight is missing.
On each card, you can see the right number of Rain drops, of Flames, or Stones, or Wind marks...
And the more you go far in the Suit, the more the Wind is strong and the more you come closer to the capital of the Wind region.
Most often, you can find in each arcana the same symbols than in the Marseille and/or Rider Waite, depending the vision I wanted to give to the card.

Let me know what you think !! 😃

Have a very nice week end everybody !! 😃

Interesting interpretation of the suits. Thank you for answering. To me, the people on the rain cards look washed out (pale, flat, little shading) compared to the other cards. Is that deliberate?

For me, the readability issue is the font used (it looks a bit like cursive, possibly italicized, which looks pretty, but I find hard to read) and the low contrast on some cards between font color and background color. For the dancing children in the first post, I have no clue what the font says because to me, the brown font is nearly the same color as the orange grass behind it. Font size is not the problem, since I can read the fool just fine.

Gorgeous!

I love the facial expressions on some of the cards. They convey a lot of emotion.

Oh my goodness Goddess as Justice! I've been picking up on that one for years, maybe I'm not as crazy as I thought it was! Heeee!

I like the art of both the Tarot and the the oracle.  I think the whole concept of creating a world and doing complementary decks within it is awesome.  I am one of those people who is more of a tarot person but enjoys occasionally incorporating oracle cards into my tarot readings so having complimentary decks is great!  Whereas the Tarot deck seems to be more geared towards getting to know the people of your world, how they live, what they believe the oracle seems very serene and about the open spaces or special places, love that too.  I love the rich color tones you are using as well.  Gorgeous decks, and love the Map you showed a couple of years ago!  That would be a really nice companion to both decks to get people more immersed in your world.
