Bodhiseed Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 I just found out (quite by accident), that Printer Studio has removed all website and email addresses from seller shops. I've got two decks that I sell at cost and offer a free emailed booklet with each. But now that my email has been removed, there's no way for the buyers to get the booklets! My lojong deck has its own blog, so that was not as much of a problem. But my Elements of Recovery deck did not, so I started a blog for it (in hope that those who have bought the deck can find me and get their booklet): https://elementsofrecovery.blogspot.com/
gregory Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 You could add a card with the address on it ? Just a thought for future buyers.
Bodhiseed Posted November 19, 2017 Author Posted November 19, 2017 That's an idea; I hadn't thought about adding an extra card to the deck. I did manage to write it out in my shop (at gee mail), but any words like dot or com will make it disappear again. Hopefully folks will be able to figure it out. If not, I'll look into the extra card idea.
reall Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 for everyone still publishing with mpc/ps just switch to thegamecrafter!:) or drivethrucards! both based in US better card stock price+better shipping cost & time for US!:) + statistic & traffic are skyrocket compared too ps/mpc!^^ lolz
gregory Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Gamecrafter ALWAYS gets hit for $$$$ in UK customs. I simply don't buy from them any more. With the added fees to receive a TGC deck, PS/MPC - who use hubs - come in very much cheaper (and to be honest I haven't noted any huge difference in card stock - on the whole I haven't actually LIKED TGC stock, but things may have improved, I guess. I did buy one from drivethru - and it was printed in China, just like PS... Just saying ! As a matter of general interest - I wouldn't want my email in my PS shop anyway.
reall Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Gregory are you saying regular (aka cheep ) mpc/PS card stock is good as their linen & that fancy 330 gsm?:) Also are you sure dtc print in china?:) we had this topic on their blog & they mentioned looking for way to provide better shipping for outside US, & as I know all their decks have that 1 extra cards saying printed in US making it pointless if not true?:)
gregory Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 I don't know if it's standard for them, but the one deck I got from them - a little while ago now - was mailed from Hong Kong - that was where the shipping tracking started. I don't know why it would start there if it was printed in the States. But it may have been one of their experiments. As I am not with the Collection just now, I can't get them all out to compare - but I've received three PS decks and one MPC while here, and all have lovely stock. Their "linen" kind. I was considering uploading my deck to drivethru to see what it was like - but either I am very thick or the site is much harder to navigate than I am used to. But my warning was about TGC - anyone in the UK WILL be hit for customs and the wicked Royal Mail add on charges. I have never had a TGC deck come there that wasn't caught. MPC and PS use hubs adn avoid all that. I'm no sure about drivethru, as that one, as I recall, was delivered to me in Canada.
reall Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Wow! gregory thank you for all info!:) I will pay attention to my next dtc order & ask them about that if i notice it's not from US!:) btw that would explain low shipping rates I got for my publisher address!:) but wonder why aren't they offering it for other non US addresses?x,x facepalm yep, their interface & upload system is nerve wrecking!^^;D BUT normal for poker size cards,,, so hopefully they'll fix it for other card sizes as well.... btw I find some uk pod(link in printer topic!) but unfortunately they don't have shop option!x,x hm, happy to hear you find all mpc/ps stock options ok(I have ps decks in 300 gsm, linen & plastic!:) luv all will give them 2nd chance if they ever decide to *improve their interface OR return back to regular card stock price?:)
