I was speechless when I first got the Enchanted Forest!

I don't usually get very excited about new decks. I do appreciate them and admire them but I don't easily get swept off my feet anymore.  I decided to have a little browse the other day to see what's out there and maybe add some new decks to my selection if there were any I was drawn to.  I wasn't expecting gangbusters, but I did see a few that might be kind of a change of pace at least.  I haven't paid attention to the new decks coming out for the most part so I just took peeks at some on Amazon but didn't research real deeply.  I ordered three-----the Enchanted Forest, the Spiritsong, and since I'd wanted the Star when I had the Majors several years ago, I ordered the 78 card version  mostly out of curiosity.

The Enchanted Forest was the one I was the most curious about because I live in a forest of old growth timber but I expected it to be something heavy on the cuteness scale like a Lo Scarabeo deck.  Boy, was I ever shocked! The whole thing is such a beautiful work of art and so appropriate to my surroundings here in the mountains, my British roots that go back centuries, my love of fairy tales and nature, the quality of the cards and the card stock, the art work, the fact that the cards are borderless, the quality of the paper in the book, the information in the book----I've just been unable to fully express how much this set impresses me.  This is definitely the official deck of the Tippy Tea House now.  I'll be offering some reading exchanges with the deck in a week or so when I get my RV spring cleaning and redecorating done.

The Spiritsong is lovely, too, and I ordered it because I love the Joi de Vivre by Paulina Cassidy.  I'll be giving it some good turns with readings, too.

Now, the Star is done beautifully as well, but it's a big deck and I have small hands so that one was a little disappointing because of the size and thickness of the cards.  I'll deal with the size and use the deck, but my main deck is going to be the Enchanted Forest.

ETA:  I got the name of the deck wrong---it's Forest of Enchantment.  The link on Amazon is:

Do you have a link to the Forest deck?

I was thinking you were talking about this one (that I don’t have yet)

The Star & the Spiritsong are beautiful! I have to devise a lot of sort-and-count ways to use decks that are too large for me to shuffle. Numerology or a keyword where I count through the pile that many letters until I get the number of cards a spread requires.

I love the FoE deck as well—it is my daily deck. I love that it is gentle and yet deep.

Would you mind sharing a shot of the Empress and Hierophant cards or equivalents please? This is rather lovely... I've found some cards online, and there are some gorgeous ones - the rabbits remind me of Watership Down, and the Strength card is lovely. I'm not sure how I feel about the suit names. It's very tempting.

Oh, I didn't know she had an oracle deck, too! I'll have to check that out.  Thanks for mentioning it.

I'm sorry I'm late seeing this. I'll post photos of the Empress and Heirophant when I can get my email to work right. I live out in the mountains where our internet is sketchy and frustrating and I sent myself one photo of something else this morning that went right into my inbox and then a second one just a few minutes later and it hasn't arrived yet.  I sent the second one more than once.  It's so frustrating but it's just a fact of life living out here in the midst of the forest.  I'm thankful we have any internet at all. Usually my best internet times are late at night and in the wee hours. Good thing I'm a night owl, huh?
