The Lovers & Subconscious divine link

I came across an explanation of the connection between the man, the woman and the angel as a link between conscious - subconscious and divine.

Man (consciousness) looks at woman (subconsciousness) who looks at the angel (the divine).

Maybe this is common knowledge and I'm rediscovering fire here, but I thought it was really interesting.
