Pondering about how many times some cards in Lenormand mean, so far that's what I observed:

The Coffin = zero.

The Tower = once, as it means one.

The Whip = twice, to punish or remedy.

The Birds = double.

The Roads = at least two, as it means options.

The Stars = multiple times, as it infers multitude.

The Fish = many, like the Stars.

Am I missing any? In your experience (it doesn't matter if you're a newbie or not, I want to know from what you've read so far) what have you observed?

Do you refer to timing or quantification, or both?

Not all decks have two birds.  For example, the Wüst shows five chicks and its parents.  I use the number on the card.

The Park is many, and the Fishes multiplying and growing.

The Cloverleaf 3 or 4.

Quantification.

Timing, at least for me, is answered inside the frame of the questions (in other words, the timing must be included in the question I make).

So, in your viewpoint, if Garden is many, is House one?

What about the Stars signifying multitude, is that inaccurate, then?

Could you please clarify why? I can't see that number in the emblem by myself.

No. It is for the household. For me, that’s just me (plus cats). But for my one neighbour, two and for the other five.

The Stars spread out — I do not tend to quantify them outside of spreading.

It depends on the design.  But usually, the cloverleaf has three or four leaves. On my primary deck, the Jeu Lenormand the leaves are trios. So I use 3.

Oh, I see now. The four-leafed clover thing. Great, so simple and I couldn't see it. Thanks!

There are little details on the deck that are used.  Over time, some of these have started to disappear. But I do think it’s important to get a good look at a (good) deck.

Do you use one of the Baralho Cigano Candomblé decks or the more standard ones?

I've never found myself comfortable with Baralhos Ciganos. I think it's about the imagery, which I found unattractive or unappealing to me. I use Rana George's most of the times, with occasional uses of the Mystical.

The thing is that I wasn't used to use the images in the cards as indicative of the quantities. Now, I'll be more attentive to that, thanks to you.
