remod Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 And here are five of the eight cards printed on PrinterStudio. They came out a little bit darker than I expected but, still, I like them: The images ready to be printed (released under a free Creative Commons license) are available here: https://github.com/rdentato/castingiching/releases/download/v1.0.0/8-I-Ching-cards.zip
remod Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 (edited) After few days, let me add that the cards tend to wear along the borders after being shuffled for a while. Probably it would have been better to add a border (black or white) around the image. Edited February 23, 2022 by remod
remod Posted August 7, 2022 Author Posted August 7, 2022 A new version of the 8 trigram cards. This time I had to convince the AI Midjourney to draw what I had in mind. You can see a larger version on deviantart (I couldn't attach all of them here, they are too big). The full hi-res pictures (ready to print, should you feel inclined to do so) are availble here (23MB) they are free to be used under the terms of the CC-BY-SA license. Hope you like them.
MuninnMissinHuginn Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Very cool art. The muted lithograph feel, for me, is very soothing.
remod Posted August 8, 2022 Author Posted August 8, 2022 Thanks Muninn! My effort has been in steering Midjourney to the images that I had in mind (it's a good AI but sometimes is too fixated on certain elements I didn't want). Plus the "technical" I Ching casting mechanism, of course, and general cards composition. R,
