Wow, you just came straggling in?  Many of us have been here a long time and we've missed you.  Where ya been?  It's good to see you! 

 

As for me, I'm in and out of here for various reasons.  One reason is the frustrating fight with the spotty internet we have up here in the woods.  Another is that right now we're all packed up waiting to see which way the forest fires are going to spread to know whether we evacuate or not.  At the moment it's not our turn to be on the evacuation scale but the fires are uncomfortably close by.  Everyone has their absolute essentials packed and ready to dash out the door on a moment's notice. My daughter and I are going to keep our essentials in the truck for the rest of the season, we've decided.  It's just easier that way.  Level 1 is basically "pack your absolutely necessary stuff" and level 2 is "you've got about 30 minutes to get your stuff thrown into a vehicle and leave" and level 3 is "too late now----just get the hell into whatever vehicle you can and floor it". 

 

But I'm very glad to see you made it here.  Welcome!
